Although it is designed to reduce the gap by arranging it, if the gap is small, the strip vibrations and magnetic attraction that the strip receives will cause rubbing between the magnetic poles and damage to the strip, which will deteriorate the quality. Due to the close relationship between the two, it was necessary to create a gap of at least a certain amount.

A heat insulating insulator 4 such as ceramic or high heat resistant rubber is disposed via 3 to form a guide roll 5, and a strip (metal thin plate) 6 is supported and guided by the guide roll 5. An electromagnet 7 is disposed so as to face the guide roll 5, and the electromagnet 7 includes a yoke 8, a magnetic pole body 9 attached to both ends of the yoke 8, and an exciting coil wound around the yoke 8. It has 10 and. The magnetic pole body 9 is divided into a plurality of magnetic pole pieces 9a in the strip width direction of the strip 6, and is movable with respect to the guide roll 5 as shown in FIG. 1 (b). That is,
Each magnetic plate piece 9a is movable in the guide roll direction. A shield plate 11 is arranged between the magnetic pole body 9 and the guide roll 5, and the shield plate 11 has a mechanism capable of advancing and retreating in correspondence with the number of the protruding magnetic pole bodies 9.

The strip 6, which is supported and guided by the guide roll 5 and advances in the direction of the solid arrow, is electromagnetically heated by the electromagnet 7 as described later.

A high-frequency magnetic field is formed in the other magnetic pole body (S pole) 9, and an eddy current is induced in the strip 6 by this high-frequency magnetic field to heat the strip 6. Unnecessary magnetic lines of force are cut by the shield plate 11. That is, the unnecessary leakage magnetic flux is reduced by the shield plate 11.

In the electromagnetic induction heating device, since the strip is supported and guided by the guide rolls, the strip, in relation to the magnetic pole, has a very small gap between the magnetic pole and the strip when the strip is constrained in place. The heating operation can be performed in close proximity, and the induction heating efficiency can be greatly improved.
