クトグラフ用カーボン紙の感熱転写インク層を接触する
ように配置し、マスター像形成基材の上面に熱記録ヘッ
ドから熱を選択的に印加することにより感熱転写インク
層からマスター像形成基材の下面にマスター像を転写す
る技術が開示されている。

画像記録装置を提供することを目的とする。

本発明の感熱画像記録装置を製版工程に使用する際の基
本構成を第1図に示す。

の発熱素子を配列した記録素子であり、熱記録ヘッドの
駆動回路7から供給される駆動信号によって駆動され
る。すなわちRIS(ラスタインプットスキャナ)の原稿
読取やワードプロセッサの出力信号により作成された画
像信号が熱記録ヘッド駆動回路7に供給されると駆動信
号が発生し、それに従って発熱素子4に画像情報に応じ
て選択的に通電され発熱する。発熱素子4が発熱すると
穿孔性マスター1の表面の二軸延伸フイルム3の対応す
る部分が加熱される。このように、二軸の延伸フイルム
は熱収縮し、穿孔され製版が行なわれる。この製版工程
において、駆動回路に供給される画像信号は、駆動回路
系の内部に設けられた制御回路により、鏡像状の画像を
形成するよう処理される。一方、通常の熱記録媒体で記
録を行なう場合には、正像状の画像を形成するよう処理
が行なわれる。

段も設けられ、ROMをアドレスの先頭から順次アクセス
するか後尾から順次アクセスするかによって正像・鏡像
の切り換え、すなわち通常の記録モード、製版モードの
切り換えが達成される。

を織ったものが使用できる。二軸延伸フイルム3は、1
〜5μのポリエステルフイルムが好ましい。二軸延伸フ
イルム3は多孔性ベース材2に接着剤で接着されてい
る。接着剤としては、飽和ポリエステル系樹脂、アクリ
ル系樹脂、ポリビニル系樹脂、ポリスチレン系樹脂等か
ら成る接着剤が使用できる。接着剤は乾燥後の固形分で
0.5〜2.0g/m2の量を適当量の溶剤に溶かして使用され
る。

ヘッドを正像モードで駆動して記録を行なった。熱記録
ヘッドの印字条件は印加電圧が25V、印加時間が1m sec
であった。その結果、感熱記録紙上には正像の鮮明な画
像が得られた。
