Description
【技術分野】 本発明は共に櫛歯状の刃を備えた固定刃と可動刃とから

定刃の刃溝に捕らえられた髪を切断する電気バリカン刃

従来の電気バリカン刃の一例を第7図に示す。基台6の
一面に固着された固定刃1の上には可動刃3が配され

駆動子(図示せず)との連結部材8が設けられている。
固定刃1と可動刃3の各刃先は共に櫛歯状のものとして
形成されており、往復振動駆動される可動刃3は、固定
刃1の刃溝2で捕らえた髪を切断する。 ところで、このように構成されたバリカン刃において
は、一度に切断することができる範囲をできるだけ広く
とるために、固定刃1及び可動刃3における櫛歯状の刃
先が共に幅いっぱいに形成されていたことから、両端部
において髪を切断することができず、使用者に痛い思い
をさせてしまうことがあった。 これは次の理由によっている。すなわち、可動刃3の振
幅は、第10図及び第11図に示すように固定刃1の2個の
刃溝2を横切る程度に設定されていることから、固定刃
1の中央部のある刃溝2に捕らえられた髪5は、可動刃
3が一往復する間に可動刃3で4回乃至5回切断される
機会があるのに対し、固定刃1の端部に形成されている
刃溝2にとられた髪5は、可動刃の一往復の間に2回し
か切断される機会がない。そして可動刃3の振幅は、無
負荷時に第8図に想像線で示す位置まで動くだけの振幅
量があったとしても、過負荷時には実線で示す位置まで
しか動かなくなるが、この時、上記切断機会数の差もあ
って、端部においては第9図に示すように髪5の切り残
しを招き、毛引きや毛づまりを生じてしまうのである。An example of a conventional electric hair clipper blade is shown in FIG. しかして本発明は、共に櫛歯状の刃を備えた固定刃と可
動刃とからなり、固定刃に対し摺動駆動される可動刃
が、固定刃の刃溝に捕らえられた髪を切断するバリカン
刃において、固定刃もしくは可動刃の刃溝における固定
刃と可動刃との相互摺動面に含まれる部分の面積を、中
央部より両端部で小さくしていることを要旨として中央
部に比して両端部における髪切断量を予め小さくしてい
ることに特徴を有しているものである。 以下本発明を図示の実施例に基づいて詳述すると、第1
図は一実施例を示すもので、共に櫛歯状の刃を備えてい
る固定刃1と可動刃3のうち、固定刃1に形成されてい
る刃溝2で且つ両端に位置する刃溝20のみが浅く(H′
<H)されている。つまり、両端の刃溝20の面積が他の
刃溝21の面積より小さくされている。このために、固定
刃1の刃溝2に捕らえられた髪が可動刃3によって切断
されるに際して、両端の刃溝20に捕らえられる髪の量が
他の刃溝21に捕らえられる髪の量よりも少なくて、髪の
切断機会が少なくとも負荷が大きくならず、刃溝20に捕
らえられた髪も確実に切断されてしまうものである。 第2図に示す実施例においては、固定刃1の両端の刃溝
20の開口幅を他の刃溝21の幅より小さく(D<d)する
ことで、刃溝20の面積を小さくしている。また第3図に
示す実施例では、固定刃1の両端部に位置する複数個の
刃溝2について、中央部から両端にかけて漸次深さが浅
くなるようにしている。 固定刃1の刃溝2の面積を変えるのではなく、可動刃3
の刃溝4の面積を変えてもよい。第4図に示す実施例で
は、可動刃3の両端に位置する刃溝40の面積を、この刃
溝40を形成する一対の突部42のうち、端部側の突部42の
突出量を小さくすることによって、他の刃溝41の面積よ
りも小さくしている。また第5図に示す実施例では、可
動刃3両端の刃溝40の深さを他の刃溝41よりも浅くして
いる。更に第6図に示す実施例では、刃溝4を囲む突部
42の突出量を、中央部から両端にかけて漸次小さくする
ことによって、刃溝4の面積を加減している。 このように可動刃3の両端の刃溝40の面積を他の刃溝41
の面積より小さくした場合には、固定刃1の両端の刃溝
20に捕らえられる髪の量が多くとも、このうちの一部の
髪しか切断できる領域に入れないために、やはり可動刃
3の往復動についての負荷が小さく、両端部における髪
の切断量が少ないとはいえ、髪がかみこんでしまうよう
なことはない。 以上においては、固定刃1または可動刃3のいずれかの
両端の刃溝2,4にのみ、面積の小さいものを設定した
が、固定刃1と可動刃3の両者について、両端の刃溝2,
4の面積を小さくしてもよい。 尚、ここでいう刃溝の面積とは、本来の機能である髪の
切断に寄与する部分の面積をさしており、たとえば固定
刃の刃溝の奥端が深く入り込んでいる場合があっても、
ここでいう面積は、可動刃の刃溝の奥端より更に深い部
分は含まない。つまり切断有効面積(固定刃と可動刃と
の相互摺動面に含まれる部分の面積)のみをさしてい
