1. A tree digging device comprises a substantially U-shaped frame whose front end is open so as to receive the root of the tree, and a frame which is pivotally supported at the lower left and right sides of the frame and which faces downwards by hydraulic cylinders. A pair of left and right buckets that can be opened and closed within a range between the opening position and the inward closing position, and a substantially vertical upward opening position and a substantially horizontal inward direction by hydraulic cylinders that are pivotally supported on both left and right sides of the frame. A pair of left and right bars that can be opened and closed within the range of the closed position, and a range of a substantially vertical upper position and a substantially diagonal lower position by hydraulic cylinders that are pivotally supported on both left and right sides of the frame. It is composed of a pair of left and right earth and sand holding plates that can move up and down, and the tree digging device is attached to the front part of a self-propelled vehicle such as a bulldozer so as to be able to move up and down. Opening and closing operations of the bucket and the bar of the tree digging device and digging trees by the up and down movement of the earth and sand holding plate, preventing tilting of trees and preventing collapse of soil at the root, and the tree digging device described above. A tree excavation and transfer vehicle, wherein transfer of a tree carried on a bucket is operable on the self-propelled vehicle.
