必要となる。従来のこの種の排煙装置としては、鋳片送
出路の基礎部分にダクトを埋め込むとともに切断機のト
ーチ下方の空間を複数の区面に分割し、各区画毎にダン
パーを設けて吸煙、排出するようにしたもの、トーチ走
行範囲の下方に排煙シユートを設け、このシユートの両
側面に穿つた孔から常時吸煙するもの等が知られてい
る。また簡単な例としては、トーチ走行範囲の上方に固
定フードを設置したものや、走間切断機(トーチカー)
上部に集煙フードを設置してトーチカーとともに移動せ
しめるようにしたものがある。

り、またシユート上に堆積する切断スケールの除去設備
(流れによる除去)等付帯設備が必要なためコストアツ
プとなり、トーチ周囲のレイアウトも複雑となる等の欠
点がある。切断トーチカー上方に固定フードあるいは移
動フードを設ける場合には切断位置からフードまでの距
離が長いため完全な集煙が不可能であつて、また固定フ
ードの場合には広範囲にわたつてフードが必要となり、
コストアツプとなる。

口の横巾を前記トーチの横方向ストロークを超える長さ
とし、前記集煙フードの頂部開口を前記トーチカーに接
近したダクトおよび伸縮可能な蛇腹形ダクトを介して機
外のブロアに連通せしめ、更に、前記集煙フードの裏面
に水冷ジャケットを張設して成るものである。

2図の如く、鋳片6の上面6aを覆うように屋根状の集煙
フード2が一体に取り付けられている。第1図に示すよ
うに集煙フードの前端(進行方向前端)2aはトーチ5の
近接位置までのびており、また該フードの頂部2bは開口
してトーチカー1内に設置した機内ダクト8に連通して
いる。ダクト8は前記フレームを貫通してのび、その上
端が曲折ダクトを介して伸縮可能な蛇腹形構造のダクト
4に連結されている。この蛇腹形ダクト4は外部の適当
な排ガスフアン(図示省略)および機外の固定ダクト
(図示省略)に導かれる。トーチ5はフレーム上部の軸
支部を中心として鋳片6の進行方向と直角な方向に揺動
するが、集煙フード2は少くともこのトーチの揺動範囲
lを包囲する横巾Lをもつて前記フレームの下部に取り
付けられている。また集煙フード2にはその裏面に冷却
ジヤケツト3が設けられて水冷される。

水冷却されるのでフードを含めてトーチカー全体の保護
が図られる。
