(Prior Art) Conventionally, when manufacturing a nonwoven fabric for a secondary fabric of a carpet, as a method for fixing fibers, an emulsion binder is used, or a hot melt binder is mixed and fixed, or further In addition, a method of entwining them with a needle punch and fixing them is generally performed. The non-woven fabric for the secondary fabric of the carpet thus obtained is laminated in the back-baking process, and press-molding is performed when molding is required as in car-mat molding, but stable molding is performed in that process. And shape retention are required, and other properties such as good adhesion with felt are also required.

In general car mat molding, a backing carpet is partially melted and softened in a heating furnace and molded by a press molding machine. The molding method is being switched from partial molding in which the front (front) part and area (rear) part are individually molded to integrated molding, and the mold has also become complicated in uneven shape. Moreover, it is necessary to fit the resulting molded product to the floor (floor). If the toughened carpet with the backing process alone is used for deep drawing, it tends to break during molding, and the needless carpet alone does not maintain the shape retention and the fit property deteriorates. Use becomes essential.

A carpet with a secondary base cloth is generally manufactured by a ruder method in which a backing agent is extruded on the back surface of the carpet and at the same time a non-woven fabric for a secondary base cloth is sent out and pressed by a cooling roller to be laminated. However, in the molding process, it is necessary to partially bond the felt and the carpet with the secondary base cloth. For this reason, a method has been adopted in which the adhesive force between the felt and the carpet with the secondary base cloth is increased through an adhesive application step.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, when a non-woven fabric for a secondary base cloth is laminated, deep drawing can be performed and the shape retention is improved, but the felt adhesive strength remains a problem. Conventionally, when the cooling agent is pressed by the cooling roller in the process of making a carpet with a secondary base cloth, a part of the backing agent oozes out from the gap of the non-woven fabric for the secondary base cloth, so that it serves as an adhesive. Adhesion was possible, but adhesion was poor. For this reason, there is a problem in that the process of applying the adhesive is added and the processing cost becomes high.

An object of the present invention is to provide a non-woven fabric for a secondary base cloth which does not require an adhesive application step between the felt and the carpet with the secondary base cloth in the molding step and has a strong adhesive force with the felt.

The polyethylene used as the sheath component of the conjugate fiber of the present invention may be any of the conventional commercially available low density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and other linear low density polyethylene. A mixture of these may be used, and linear low-density polyethylene obtained by copolymerizing α-olefin having 4 to 8 carbon atoms and ethylene is particularly good in spinnability and has good feeling and adhesive strength. A secondary base non-woven fabric is obtained.

The polyethylene terephthalate used in the present invention preferably has an intrinsic viscosity in the range of 0.50 to 1.20. Intrinsic viscosity
If it is less than 0.50, it is difficult to obtain a high-strength fiber, and a satisfactory nonwoven fabric cannot be obtained, and if the intrinsic viscosity exceeds 1.20, the spinnability is poor.

The fiber has a cross-sectional shape in which polyethylene is coated with polyethylene terephthalate, and the composition ratio must be 10 to 90% by weight of polyethylene and 90 to 10% by weight of polyethylene terephthalate. When the content of polyethylene is less than 10% by weight, even if the strength of the fiber is high, the adhesive strength with the felt is weakened or the covering state is deteriorated, so that a preferable non-woven fabric for secondary base cloth cannot be obtained.

On the other hand, when the polyethylene content exceeds 90% by weight, the adhesive strength with the felt becomes strong, but the strength of the fiber becomes low, making it difficult to perform deep drawing, which is the characteristic of the non-woven fabric for secondary base cloth, and the moldability and shape retention are poor. Is not desirable.

In the present invention, the fiber thickness needs to be 20 denier or less for single yarn fineness. If the single yarn fineness exceeds 20 denier, the number of single yarns that make up the non-woven fabric will decrease, and the non-woven fabric will have coarse meshes, resulting in poor moldability and shape retention.

The structure of the nonwoven fabric made of the heat-bonded fiber of the present invention can be manufactured by using a conventionally known composite melt spinning device.
The spinning temperature is 180 to 270 ° C on the polyethylene side and 280 to 310 ° C on the polyethylene terephthalate side. The heat-bonded fiber of the present invention can be obtained by taking continuous filament obtained by melt spinning at 1500 m / min or more by an air sucker or a take-up roller, and can take up even at a high speed of several thousand m / min. Surprisingly, a godet roller or a Nelson roller is not necessarily required if a linear low-density polyethylene having a favorable behavior during melting is selected.

FIG. 1 is a schematic view of an example of a process for producing a carpet with a secondary base cloth using a nonwoven fabric made of heat-bonded fibers according to the present invention. In the figure, a tufted or needling carpet 1 is placed under the pile surface. It shows a state in which it is being sent out at a constant speed in the direction of the arrow A toward. The molten backing agent 2 exits the extruder and is applied to the back surface of the carpet 1, that is, the opposite side of the pile surface. The non-woven fabric 3 for secondary base fabric of the present invention is sent out at the same speed as the carpet 1 from the direction opposite to the carpet 1 (the direction of the arrow B) and is laminated in a state of covering the backing agent. The edging rollers (embossing rollers) 4a and 4b have a function as a nipping roller and have a cooling function. The carpet with the secondary base cloth in a state of being stuck between the edging rollers enters and the backing agent is solidified according to the present invention. After one side of the nonwoven fabric for the secondary base cloth of the carpet made of heat-bonded fibers is melt-bonded, it is wound on the winding roller to obtain the carpet 5 with the secondary base cloth. As described above, one side of the carpet with the secondary backing is a pile, but the side opposite to the pile side is composed of heat-bonding fibers,
When this surface is adhered to the felt, it exerts an effect to improve the adhesiveness to the felt. The polyethylene terephthalate in the core plays a role of improving moldability and shape retention.

(Function) The nonwoven fabric obtained by the present invention uses polyethylene terephthalate as the core of the constituent fibers and polyethylene as the sheath of the nonwoven fabric. Therefore, when this nonwoven fabric is used as the secondary base fabric of a carpet, The backing agent melts and adheres,
It also facilitates adhesion with the felt during molding. In addition, it exhibits the features of excellent deep-drawing formability and retention.
