圧下量をΔW4=400mm程度にしても座屈が発生せず、ス
ラブ幅W0が1200mmの場合は幅圧下量をΔW3=300mm程度
にすると本座屈が生じ、スラブ幅W0が1600mmの場合は幅
圧下量を ΔW2=200mm程度にすると半座屈が生じる。従って、半
座屈若しくは座屈が生じる範囲は第3図の△を結んで得
られた線よりも上方の斜線部×となり、この斜線部×が
押えロール必要範囲となる。又斜線部×から、例えばス
ラブ幅W0が1050mm程度の場合は、幅圧下量がΔW4=400m
m以上となると、半座屈若しくは座屈が生じるものと考
えられる。

圧下量ΔW2、ΔW3、ΔW4ごとの半座屈が生じる位置を元
のスラグ幅W0に対応して第4図のグラフに移すと●の位
置となる。従って各●を結んで得られた線よりも上方の
斜線部×が押えロール必要範囲となる。

ーン部に掛からないようにする必要があり、このための
押えロールの胴長LはL=W0−ΔWn−2Aとなる。
