温度が180〜220℃と比較的高温となり同時に定着ロール
の直径が40〜50mm乃至はこれ以上と大きくなつたため、
爪の剥離部の先端に形状変化(へたり)を生じ且つ被覆
層の摩耗と劣化が起って剥離部先端にトナーが付着して
紙詰り(ペーパージヤム)を起すので、分離爪の清掃乃
至交換頻度を増やさざるを得なくなるといつた欠点が次
第に表面化して来た。

本発明者は従来の分離爪の有する上記のような欠点を解
決すべく鋭意研究を重ねた結果、例えばA4版で60枚/分
以上の高速複写速度で複写しても約100萬枚迄ペーパー
ジヤムを起さない分離爪を提供することに成功したもの
である。以下に本発明の分離爪について詳しく説明す
る。第1図及び第2図は本願発明の分離爪の1例を示す
ものであるが、第1図は定着ロールの軸方向より見た分
離爪の側面図であり、第2図は第1図の分離爪を定着ロ
ールの軸と直角方向で且つ複写紙の供給側より見た分離
爪の正面図である。

が起きない優れた性能を有する。高速複写機は定着ロー
ルの直径が従来機の20〜30mmに較べ40〜70mmと大きいの
で、定着ロールを出た紙が分離爪の剥離部先端に当たる
ことが多くなり且つ定着ロールの温度も180〜220℃と比
較的高くなつているので、従来の分離爪では剥離部先端
のへたりや被覆層の摩耗等を生じ、トナーが爪の剥離部
の先端に付着蓄積し易いため、1分間60枚以上の複写速
度の機種では3〜5万枚程度でペーパージヤムが起こる
ことが多く、このため3〜5万枚毎の分離爪の先端部の
清掃又は分離爪の頻繁は取り換え等、保守管理に多くの
手間を要した。

たりが生ぜず且つ被覆層が摩耗しないので、トナーが剥
離部先端に蓄積しにくく、1分間60枚以上の複写速度で
も約100萬枚迄ペーパージヤムをを起さないといつた優
れた性能を有するものである。

洗浄し、汚れ、ほこり、ごみを取り除き、次ぎに三井デ
ユポンフロロケミカル社製のPFAプライマーコート#902
を吸い上げ式スプレーガンで膜厚約10μに均一に塗布
し、80℃約30分乾燥を施した。次いで、三井デユポンフ
ロロケミカル社製PFAトツプコートをスプレーガンで膜
厚約10μに均一に塗布し、これを370℃で30分間焼成
し、先端部を被覆された分離爪剥離部を得た。
