(c)は、本発明の縦目地構造を屋根に施工した場合の
正面図、およびイ−イ線、ロ−ロ線、ハ−ハ線切断面図
であり、Aは下地、Bは敷目板、Cは化粧キャップ、D
は外装材、Eは防水材、Fは固定具である。さらに詳説

と共に、その形成範囲は図示するように連続して形成し
たり、または図示しないが間隔をおいて形成したり、左
右非対称に形成することも可能である。また、立上り部
5は化粧キャップCの係合部14を嵌合部に係合する際
のガイド、および弾力の付与と、外装材Dを施工する際
の当接面および防水面として機能するものである。化粧
キャップCは後記する外装材Dの化粧面部16と相応する
形状で、幅の狭い化粧面と、化粧面の上端縁を上方
に突出した防水片10と、化粧面の下端を内方に屈曲し
て形成した横目地カバー片11と、化粧面の裏面に突出
した係合部14からなるものである。さらに詳説すると、
化粧面は第2図(a)〜(c)に示すように、縦目地
部αにおいて外装材Dの端部の化粧面部16に後記する防
水材Eを介して接触するものであり、意匠性、防水性を
向上するものである。防水片10は後記する外装材Dの上
部係止部17に挿入され、横目地カバー片11は外装材Dの
下部係止部18を被覆するものであり、防水性、美観性、
離脱防止の向上を図るものである。係合部14は化粧面
のほぼ中央から下方に突出した係合片12と、係合片12の
先端、あるいは途中に、係合片12の片側、あるいは両側
に外方に向かって突出した係合爪13とからなり、敷目板
Bの嵌合溝6に係合片12を嵌挿すると、係合爪13が嵌合
