レジストマーク及び前記記録媒体の縁に沿って形成され
たレジストラインをそれぞれ検出するマーク検出手段
と、各色記録画像に対応する潜像を形成する際に前記マ
ーク検出手段が前記レジストマークを検出して得られる
情報により前記記録媒体の搬送方向における各色潜像の
記録位置合わせを行う記録タイミング制御手段と、各色
記録画像に対応する潜像を形成する際に前記マーク検出
手段が前記レジストラインを検出して得られる情報によ
り前記記録媒体の搬送方向と垂直な方向におけるずれ量
を算出しこのずれ量に応じて各多針電極記録ヘッド上で
の前記潜像の記録開始位置を左右にシフトさせる補正手
段とを有し、前記補正手段は前記マーク検出手段が前記
レジストマークを検出する毎に前記レジストラインのず
れ量の算出及び画像信号の記録開始位置の制御を行うこ
とを特徴とするカラー静電記録装置。1.
