めに、ほぼ受像紙の長さに相当する周長を持つドラムに
受像紙を密着させて、ドラムを3回転させてその1回転
毎に1色の記録を行ない、記録位置はドラムの回転位置
を制御するというやり方を行なっている。そのために受
像紙をドラムに巻きつける事が必要であるが、そのため
には受像紙の先端を、第2図に示すようなホルダー1で
しっかりと保持する必要がある。第2図の平面図a,側面
図bに従来の熱転写型のカラー記録装置を示す。第2図
は2はドラム、3は受像紙、4は記録ヘッド、5は熱転
写紙である。6は受像紙の先端を検出するための紙検出
センサである。紙検出センサ6は紙幅の略中央部に、1
個位置しており、ホルダ1に受像紙3が挿入されると紙
検出センサ6により、先端認識され、ホルダ1が駆動
後、受像紙3はホルダ1に保持される(例えば、特願昭
58−36182号明細書)。
