糸用ルーパは針に対する退避動作を行なうと同時に針が
該ルーパの下糸と針糸との係合ループ内に入り込み、下
糸用ルーパが針から完全退避した時点で針は再度最下点
に達する。そして、前記各動作を繰返し行なう事によ
り、被縫製生地に対する二重環縫が完成するのである。
また、針が3本の場合の4本糸二重環縫の場合には、被
縫製生地に対し3本の針が貫通して最下点に位置した
後、各針は各針糸にループを作りながら上昇し、下糸用
ルーパが各針糸の全ループ内に入り係合する。次に、送
り機構により生地を次の縫目に送った後、前記下糸用ル
ーパは各針に対する退避動作を行なうと同時に各針が該
ルーパの下糸と各針糸との間に形成される各係合ループ
内に入り込み、下糸用ルーパが各針から完全退避した時

繰返し行なう事により、被縫製生地に対する二重環縫が
完成するのである。従って、上記したような被縫製生地
に対する縫製を、引き攣りや弛みが生じることなく奇麗
に行なわせるためには、針と下糸用ルーパとが常時関連
的に動作する場合の両者間糸によるループ形成を、所定
の張力を調整しながら一連的且つスムースに行なわせる
必要があり、特に、下糸用ルーパの下糸張力調整は、針
の各動作に応じて糸張り動作・糸弛み動作・糸戻し動作
・糸引動作を繰返し行わせる必要があるため、縫製の良
悪に密接に関連する重要な問題である。従来、この種の
ミシンにおいて、針に対する下糸用ルーパの下糸張力調
整を針の出没段階に応じて一連的に行なわせる方法とし
ては、図1に示したような蛤状の回転カムを利用する他
に手段がなかった。すなわち、図1に示した蛤状の回転
カムによる下糸用ルーパの下糸張力調整方法は、ミシン

針8の上下に適応して連続回転し、常時下糸の張力を調
整する方法であり、殆どすべてのミシンがこの方法を採
用していることは周知である。

ム設置用溝内への下糸引込現象を防止することができ、
常時安定した縫製が行なえる。また、本発明を採用した
場合においては、張力調整レバーの両側に下糸案内孔が
設けられているのであるが、常時下糸案内孔の設置高さ
以上に位置している従来の回転カム使用の場合とは異な
り、常時下糸案内孔の設置高さ以上に位置する張力調整
レバーの下糸引掛用係合部は、進退或いは昇降又は横動
或いは揺動により移動するため、下糸引掛用係合部以外
の位置での下糸案内孔への挿通作業が容易で、しかもそ
の挿通作業を短縮できるという利点をも有する。よっ
て、本発明の下糸用ルーパの下糸張力調整方法は、基本
的概念を一変させて従来の欠点や問題点をを解消すると
共に各種要望を満足させ、複数本の針を使用するミシン
や回転カムを使用している全ミシンに適用できるように
