中にアキュムレータ3を設けた吸入管2より吸入し、内
部に設けた機構部(図示せず)により圧縮吐出し、この
機構部を包む密閉ハウジング5より圧縮した流体を吐出
管6を介して吐出する。この圧縮機1は密閉ハウジング
5を発泡した防音材7で一体に囲んでいる。この防音材
7を上記ハウジング5に一体発泡する方法を以下に説明
する。図において8は上ケース、9は下ケースであり、
上ケース8には前記吸入管2と吐出管6がそれぞれ貫通
する孔10及び11と、防音材を発泡させるための注入
孔12が設けられ、下ケース9には圧縮機1の脚13が
下ケース9より外側に出る様に切欠き部14が設けられ
ており、図3に示すように圧縮機1を内部に囲むように
上ケース8と下ケース9を合致させ注入孔12より防音
材を注入し、圧縮機1と上ケース8,下ケース9で囲ま
れた空間に発泡させ、前記防音材が囲まれた後、上ケー
ス8及び下ケース9を取り外す。上記脚13は圧縮機1
を例えば空気調和機本体の基盤(図示せず)に固定する
ためのものであり、発泡した防音材7の外に突出してお
く必要がある。この様に防音材7を圧縮機1のハウジン
グ5全体を包囲するよう一体発泡することにより、ハウ
ジング5からの騒音のもれを防止する事ができる。また
防音材7がハウジング5と一体となっていることによ
り、圧縮機1の振動によりハウジング5と防音材7が接
触すると共に相対運動を起こし騒音を発生することがな
い。さらに図1に示すようにアキュムレータ3を発泡し
た防音材7の内部に設けることにより、アキュムレータ
3の断熱を行うことができ、これにより圧縮機1の効率
が向上すると共に、アキュムレータ3からの騒音も遮蔽
することができる。

ので、簡単な方法で密閉ハウジングの周りに防音材を発
砲し一体構造とすることができ、従来のように密閉ハウ
ジングと防音材の間隙より圧縮機騒音がもれ、防音効果
が少なくなることは防止でき、又、防音材と密閉ハウジ
ングが一体化されるため、両者の間で相対運動する事が
なく、この相対運動より発生する騒音もないなど、遮音
及び防音にすぐれた圧縮機を製造することができる。ま
た、本願発明の圧縮機の製造方法では、防音材を接着な
どで貼付る手間も不要で、この貼付けによる製造上のバ
ラツキにより圧縮機騒音値の高低が発生することもな
い、安定した品質の圧縮機を提供できる。しかも、本願
発明のように、脚を前記ケースの切欠き部から突出させ
て防音材を注入する方法は、前記ケース内の圧縮機の位
置をバラツキなく設定するのにきわめて有効であり、こ
の点からも防音材の厚みバラツキを無くし、安定した品
質の圧縮機の提供ができる。
