Has been proposed and is said to be effective in improving the yield of veneer and the quality of veneer.

It is well known that it is considered to be inferior and has not been practically used for drying, and not only does it have a problem in productivity even in normal cases, but it also has a large number of needles protruding from the heating plate as described above. When the entire plate is stabbed and held, it is not easy to separate the single plate from the hot plate after drying, so that the productivity is further lowered and the practicality of the apparatus is further reduced.

By doing so, it has been found that the above-mentioned repair becomes unnecessary, but in the device of the above-mentioned publication, if a remarkably large number of needles are projected on the heating plate at minute intervals, the heat after drying will be reduced. Since it becomes more and more difficult to remove the veneer from the board, it is not possible to take such measures, and as a result, the cracks expand and concentrate.
It is inevitable to fill and repair it, and from this point as well, it must be said that the practicability of the device is extremely low.

Attempts have also been made to regulate the shrinkage of the veneer due to drying while facilitating the insertion and removal by piercing and transporting the veneer by the endless belt to improve productivity. In this way, when the veneer is dried in a partially (locally) pierced state by the narrow endless band having the piercing body, it is possible to dry the part where the contraction is not regulated by the piercing. Since the shrinking force accompanying it is concentrated, a significantly large crack (major crack) occurs in that part, and the quality of the veneer is extremely deteriorated, or the veneer starts to split from the cleft. Then, there is a possibility that a defect such as a decrease in yield may occur, and it must be said that its practical application is extremely difficult.

く、極めて効果的な乾燥が行い得る。According to the drying device configured as described above, since the veneer is conveyed by the wide and endless piercing and conveying member, there is no particular difficulty in inserting and taking out the veneer, and the operability is good. Therefore, of course, it is possible to dry a single plate efficiently, and a large number of small link plates equipped with a suitable number of piercing members on the outer peripheral side are connected endlessly with a wide width,
Since the so-called link belt-shaped piercing / conveying member is used to perform drying in the state where the single plate is entirely pierced and held,
It is possible to prevent or reduce the contraction and distortion of the veneer due to drying, which is effective in improving the veneer yield and veneer quality. Since it is possible to subdivide and disperse the cracks that occur in the veneer, there is no risk of degrading the quality of the veneer, and no extra repair is required, so there is no risk of raising the cost and it is extremely effective. Drying can take place.

If necessary, it is also possible to dispose the separation assisting means in parallel in order to further facilitate the separation of the veneer due to the bending of the piercing / conveying member.

The veneer 8 is sequentially pressed and pierced, then is heated at the position of the heater 6 by radiant heat or the like, and the veneer 8 is successively dried, and then pierced and conveyed at the position of the rear roll 7a. As the member 1 is bent, the piercing by the piercing body 3 is released, and the piercing / conveying member 1 is sequentially detached and carried out of the machine.

質を劣化させる虞はなくなる。At that time, the veneer 8 shrinks with drying (usually about 6 to 10% in the direction orthogonal to the fiber and about 0.5% in the same direction as the fiber), but constitutes the piercing / conveying member 1. Since it is stabbed by the piercing body 3 provided on a large number of small-sized link plates 2, the contraction is completely regulated, the occurrence of distortion due to a contraction error is prevented or reduced, and the contraction force is large. Since each of the puncture bodies 3 is dispersed, the cracks hardly occur, or the fine punctures 13 already formed at the positions of the puncture bodies 3 due to the pressing of the puncture bodies 3 are slightly formed. Only as it expands, as a result, the cracks 13 are dispersed and subdivided over the entire surface of the veneer 8, and there is no risk of degrading the quality of the veneer 8.

Is the spacing P1 in the direction orthogonal to the fibers of the veneer 8 and the spacing in the direction parallel to the fibers of the veneer 8.
P2 is set to 1.4 mm and 4 mm respectively, and each link plate 2 is equipped with the link plate 2, and the linking plate 2 is connected at a pitch of 16 mm by connecting pins 4 in a wide endless manner. As a result, the crack 13 was subdivided into an ideal state.
It was possible to disperse and even if the treated veneer was used on the surface of the plywood, there was no problem in terms of quality.

As is clear from FIG. 3, with the bending of the piercing / conveying member 1 at the position of the rear roll 7a, the separation of the single plate 8 from the piercing body 3 of the preceding link plate 2 follows. This is effective because the projecting portion 2'of the link plate 2 acts to promote it and the disengagement can be performed smoothly.

Due to the bending of the piercing / conveying member 1, the rigidity of the veneer itself causes the piercing body 3
The piercing of the sheet is released, for example, when the veneer to be treated is relatively thin, or as in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 9, for example.
In the case where the veneer 8 is inserted in the direction orthogonal to the fibers for processing, the veneer itself has a low rigidity, and therefore the piercing / conveying member 1 is bent only at the position of the rear roll 7a. The stab of the body 3 is not easily released, and the veneer is wound downward without being detached, or there is a part that separates and a part that does not separate, resulting in inconvenience such as dividing the boundary. Therefore, it is desirable to provide a detachment assisting means for further assuring the detachment so as to stabilize the detachment as in the above-described embodiment. As described above, each link plate is provided with a protrusion to facilitate the detachment. By doing so, it is effective because the reliable and reliable separation can be performed.

る。As is clear from the above, since the device according to the present invention conveys a veneer by the piercing / conveying member, there is no particular difficulty such as the hot press method described above for inserting and taking out the veneer, and the operation is easy. It has good properties and can dry the veneer efficiently. In addition, it is composed of a large number of small link plates with a suitable number of piercing elements on the outer peripheral side connected in a wide and endless shape with connecting pins. Since the so-called link belt-like piercing / conveying member is used to dry the veneer while the entire veneer is stabbed and held, the shrinkage and distortion of the veneer due to the drying can be prevented or reduced. In addition to being effective in improving the yield of veneer and the quality of veneer, it is possible to subdivide and disperse the cracks generated in the vicinity of the puncture body by holding the entire stab. Therefore, there is no risk of degrading the quality of the veneer, Since also the no unnecessary, without fear of eliciting cost may make it very effective drying.

Management is simple, and if necessary, separation assisting means can be provided in parallel to further facilitate separation of the veneer due to bending of the puncturing and conveying member.

Within the range, it is preferable that the shape is as small and sharp as possible, and according to an experiment targeting a commonly used veneer having a size of 5 mm or less, its height is almost equal to the thickness of the veneer to be treated. Is less than that, and the width (thickness) of the veneer in the direction perpendicular to the fiber is preferably 1/3 or less (more preferably 1/5 or less) of the veneer to be treated. It was suitable. However, in the veneer used for the inner layer of the plywood, there is no problem even if some cracks become apparent.
Even if the upper limit of is increased to about 80% of the thickness of the veneer, there is practically no problem.

It can be set arbitrarily to achieve harmony, but if the spacing in the direction orthogonal to the fibers of the veneer is wide, the individual cracks will tend to become large, while if it is narrow, pressing sticking will tend to be difficult. , Further, if the spacing in the same direction as the fiber of the veneer is narrow, individual cracks tend to be connected, and if it is too wide, excessive dehiscence may occur in the middle, so consider them, It is preferable to set it selectively as appropriate, and according to an experiment for a general-purpose veneer having a size of 5 mm or less, the shape (dimension) of the piercing body is set as the preferable one described above, and the spacing in the direction orthogonal to the fiber of the veneer. P1 to 1 to 6 times the thickness of the veneer to be treated ( Preferably about 1 to 3 times), and the distance P2 in the same direction as the fibers of the veneer is set to about 2 to 15 times (more preferably 4 to 10 times) the thickness of the veneer to be treated. The preferred, of course, such correlation is
As in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 9, the same applies to an apparatus in which the single plate 8 is inserted in the direction orthogonal to the fiber and processed. However, in the veneer used for the inner layer of the plywood, there is no problem even if some cracks become apparent. Therefore, for the interval P2 in the same direction as the fiber of the veneer, the upper limit is 30 V of the thickness of the veneer. Even if it is doubled, there is practically no problem.

However, if such a shape is configured in a divided shape, the shape of each component can be simplified, which is relatively easy to form and process and is effective in reducing the manufacturing cost. , The spacer plate 2a,
For example, an oval spacer plate 2b having no protrusion 2'as shown in FIG. 6 or a spacer ring 2c as shown in FIG. In any case, as in the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, when the veneer conveying member conveys the veneer in the same direction as the fibers, it is orthogonal to the traveling direction of the puncturing conveying member. Since looseness in the direction adversely affects contraction and strain of the veneer and generation of cracks, it is important to connect each link plate so that there is no looseness in the direction orthogonal to the running direction of the piercing / conveying member. Also, it is desirable that the plate be made of a material such as stainless steel or ceramics or be plated so that it does not react with water, tannin, etc. of the single plate.

When the piercing / conveying member extends in the direction parallel to the traveling direction and projects toward the advancing direction, the detachment of the veneer is smoother than the case where it projects toward the opposite side to the advancing direction. Insertion holes for the piercing body 3 and the connecting pin as illustrated in FIG.
A link plate 12 having 14 and a spacer plate 2a having a projecting portion 2'and a connecting pin insertion hole 15 are paired, and a large number of sets are connected endlessly by a connecting pin to form a piercing / conveying member. As in the case of configuring, the same action and effect can be obtained even if the protrusion is provided separately from the link plate body, and even if the protrusion is omitted from some of the link plates, Although a corresponding effect was obtained, in any case, as a means for ensuring the separation of the veneer from the piercing body, in addition to providing the link plate with the protruding portion, the examples described below will be specifically described. Can be mentioned.

The piercing / conveying member 1 is connected to the linking plate 22, and a comb-shaped peeling member 9 having a large number of comb tooth portions 9a that intervenes in the gap between the link plates 22 is provided at the position of the rear roll 7a. The plate 22 is designed to facilitate the detachment of the single plate 8 from the puncture body 3, and although not shown, a linear body made of a piano wire or the like is used instead of the peeling member 9. To the gap between each link plate 22,
Even if it is fixedly or stretched so that it can travel, the detachment of the single plate 8 from the piercing body 3 of the link plate 22 can be promoted in the same manner.

A shape that allows smooth insertion of a single plate, such as the roll shape in the above-described embodiment, is preferable, and if the structure has some elasticity, it has good compatibility with the single plate and is stable to the piercing body. This is effective because the single plate can be pressed.

Although it is not essential, it is desirable to provide it because it has the effect of further stabilizing and ensuring the pressure piercing of the veneer by the pressing member, but since it does not come into direct contact with the veneer, it is limited to the roll shape as in the above embodiment. However, for example, a non-rotating body may be used, and if necessary, it may be divided into a plurality of pieces and individually elastically displaceable, and the design may be appropriately changed.

In addition to the heating means exemplified in the above-mentioned examples, various known heating means described later can be used, and there is no particular limitation. Since each has its own advantages and disadvantages, it does not matter if you select from among them as needed,
Of course, if necessary, they may be used in combination in combination.

It is also possible to improve the quick-drying property, and it is particularly suitable when a large number of veneers are processed by arranging a plurality of sets of the puncturing / conveying member and the pressing member in the heat insulating wall vertically.

Since there is a risk of tearing due to the difference in shrinkage at the boundary between the heated part and the non-heated part, it is preferable to pay attention to the number of hot plates and the set temperature, and the latter is related to the thickness of the veneer. However, uniform drying and quick drying can be expected, but since the equipment tends to be relatively complicated and the total drying cost tends to be high, care should be taken to prevent an increase in operating cost due to overdrying. Is preferred.

It is preferable that the link plate is formed of a material having a small specific heat and that the entire device is covered with a heat insulating wall in order to prevent heat radiation at the folded portion of the puncturing and conveying member.
