Therefore, there is a problem that connection wiring becomes complicated and erroneous wiring may occur, and it takes time and effort to connect the wiring, resulting in poor work efficiency. Also, since the lead wire is long, the electric resistance is large and the capacity is reduced. There was a problem that was the cause.

られている。In the figure, (1) is a heat-insulating container in which a large number of sodium-sulfur cell (2) are arranged and housed.
Is a plate-shaped plate of the adjacent cells (2) and (2) which are housed in the heat-insulating container (1) so that the positive and negative plate-shaped electrodes (3) protruding from the upper surface are on the upper side. The electrodes (3), (3) and the required electrode (3) and the interconnection (4) which is a current lead wire have contact pieces (5a), (5a) corresponding to the plate-like electrode (3) at both ends. The section formed by bending is electrically connected by a U-shaped connecting fitting (5). The arrangement of the unit cells (2) in the embodiment is such that three unit cells (2) are connected in series, the series groups are arranged in six columns in parallel, and the battery groups connected by the interconnection (4) are one block body. And is arranged and housed in a plurality of heat insulating containers (1) of such a block body.
The contact piece (5a) of the connecting fitting (5) is simply and firmly connected to each plate-shaped electrode (3) by spot welding, bolting, or the like, and particularly, the plate-shaped electrode (3). The connection metal fitting (5) is attached at an angle to the interconnection (4) so as to absorb the thermal expansion of the interconnection (4) during the use of the battery device. There is.

The connection is performed by interposing a connecting piece (5) having a U-shaped cross section in which contact pieces (5a) in close contact with the plate-like electrode (3) and the interconnection (4) are bent and formed at both ends. Therefore, the wiring is simpler than the conventional connection by a lead wire or the like, the possibility of forming the wiring is eliminated, and the wiring resistance is reduced because the connection is made in a short distance.
Further, the plate piece electrode (3) and the contact piece (5a) or the plate piece electrode (3) and the interconnection (4) can be connected by spot welding, bolting, etc. Not only can this be done efficiently, but the connection strength will also be greatly improved. Further, the connection between the plate-shaped electrode (3) and the interconnection (4) is angled so that the connecting metal fitting (5) is not the shortest distance with respect to the interconnection (4) as in the embodiment. If it is installed with the connection metal fittings (5) absorbing the extension of the interconnection (4) even if the interconnection (4) thermally expands during operation at high temperature, This will surely prevent the occurrence of breakage in the part.

By using a metal fitting with a U-shaped cross section, the required electrodes can be connected to each other or the electrodes and the interconnections can be connected very easily and efficiently without miswiring, and the joint strength is also high. There are many advantages such as capacity reduction due to resistance can be prevented as much as possible.
