Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a color filter in which the pigment of a coloring part is stable after heated at high temperature so as not to generate unnecessary coloring at the coloring part by containing a specific compound as a cyanogen coupler, and further containing a specific compound. SOLUTION: A color filter is manufactured containing at least one kind of compound expressed by a formula I as a cyanogen coupler, and at least one kind of compound expressed by a formula II and/or a formula III. In the expression I, R1 represents a substitutive or nonsubstitutive aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic or amino group, W represents a nonmetallic atom group containing at least one hetero atom forming a 5-6 membered ring, and Z represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a coupling release group. In the formula II, R2 -R4 respectively represent an aliphatic group or an aryl group, but at least two groups can be bound to each other to form a 5-6 membered ring. In the formula III, X, Y respectively represent an alkyl group or an alkenyl group and can be bound to each other to form a 5-6 membered ring.

2. Description of the Related Art A color filter is a color face plate for CRT display, a photoelectric conversion element plate for copying,
It is used for filters for single-tube color televisions, flat panel displays using liquid crystals, color solid-state imaging devices, and the like. Commonly used color filters are red,
The three primary colors of green and blue are regularly arranged and arranged, but there are also those which have four colors or other hues as required. For example, in a color filter for an image pickup tube or a color filter for a liquid crystal display device, a black pattern (black matrix) is required for various purposes. red,
Specific arrangement methods for green and blue include a mosaic, stripe, and delta arrangement, which can be selected as needed.

Conventionally known methods for producing a color filter include a vapor deposition method, a first-in-first-out method, a printing method, a pigment dispersion method, an electrodeposition method, and a resist electrodeposition transfer method. However, the color filters obtained by these methods have drawbacks such as requiring a complicated manufacturing process, easily causing pinholes and scratches, low yield, and low accuracy.

When a color filter produced by these methods is used in, for example, a color liquid crystal display device or the like, it is generally necessary to use a color filter in a post-process such as vapor deposition of a transparent electrode and coating of an alignment film.
Temperatures above 0 degrees are forced and often the dyes need to be robust.

A cyan coupler capable of forming a dye having such characteristics is described in JP-A-7-294714. However, even when such a coupler was used, it was found that although the dye in the color-developed portion was strong, coloring (stain) caused by the coupler occurred in the uncolored portion after heating at a high temperature. This coloring lowers the color purity of each pixel and narrows the range of hues that can be reproduced as a display device. Such a coupler is generally used in a blue color portion of a color filter due to its spectral characteristics. Therefore, the coloring of the uncolored portion affects the red-colored portion and the green-colored portion, but since this coloring is a hue from yellow to magenta, the color purity of the green-colored portion is particularly reduced. In order to prevent the above phenomenon, it has been desired to suppress the occurrence of this coloring.

Further, the coupler for black color correction is not limited to couplers that emit yellow, magenta, and cyan, but may be couplers that emit, for example, brown, orange, purple, and black. In the present invention, the equivalent ratio of silver halide to coupler in each silver halide emulsion layer is preferably from 1 to 3. In particular, when a silver halide emulsion having an average grain size (defined as a thickness in the case of tabular grains) of 0.9 μm or less, particularly 0.5 μm or less, is preferably 1 to 2 inclusive. The term "equivalent ratio" as used herein means that the theoretical amount of silver halide necessary for causing all the couplers to develop a color is an equivalent ratio of 1, and for example, when a silver halide is applied twice as much as the theoretical amount, the equivalent ratio is 2. That is, when a 2-equivalent coupler is used, the equivalent ratio is 1 when the coated silver amount is 2 mols per 1 mol of the coupler, and the equivalent ratio is 2 when the coated silver amount is 4 mols.

The support used in the present invention is desirably a light-transmitting substrate. As described in JP-A-7-249212, a silver halide emulsion layer coated on another support is coated with a light-transmitting substrate. The photosensitive material for a color filter may be formed by being transferred and adhered onto a substrate. In this case, the support is not necessarily required to be light-transmissive, and for example, the back surface of the support may be coated with carbon black or the like.

The protective layer of the color photosensitive material CF-1 was adhered to the coating surface of the light transmitting substrate. Thereafter, the film was passed at a linear velocity of 0.45 m / min using a laminator whose temperature was set so that the temperature of the contact surface was about 130 ° C. After cooling to about room temperature, the support of the light-sensitive material was peeled off from the emulsion surface together with the release layer. The emulsion surfaces from the second layer on the substrate were uniformly adhered, and no white spots were observed.

The color filters were evaluated for the fastness of the cyan dye at a high temperature and the stain effect of the cyan coupler in the uncolored area by the following methods. The maximum density (colored portion) and the minimum density (uncolored portion) of the obtained color filter before and after heating at 180 ° C. for 2 hours were measured by X-rite301, and the following values were obtained. Dye residual ratio = {Cyan dye density of colored part after heating / Cyan dye density of colored part before heating} × 100 Color density = density of uncolored part after heating−density of uncolored part before heating The above results are shown in Table 2. Show.

The above-mentioned protective layer of the color photographic material CF-1 was adhered to the coating surface of the light transmitting substrate. The emulsion surfaces from the second layer on the substrate were uniformly adhered to each other, and no white spots were observed.

As described above, the general formula (2) of the present invention,
In the photosensitive material using the compound obtained in (3), after heating at a high temperature, there is little change in the density in the color-developed portion, and there is little decrease in color purity due to coloring in the uncolored portion. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to produce a color filter color in which the coloring matter in the coloring portion is robust after high-temperature heating and in which unnecessary coloring does not occur in the uncolored portion, without requiring a complicated production process.
