NFTS

Since 2019, Reas has released works as NFTs, extending his practice of generative and software art into a more distributed, public context. This page gathers all of those projects in one place. Each entry documents the work’s series or edition structure, blockchain, and release platform. The works range from experiments with generative image systems to expansive collaborations. Each project carries forward Reas’ long-standing interest in systems, perception, and transformation. Just as his earlier works unfolded across print, installation, or video, these projects use the blockchain as both a site of circulation and an archival record.

1/1/N Generative

“1/1/N Generative” means a software system is used to create a series of unique artworks, where the “N” is the size of the series. For example, 1/1/100 means there are 100 unique artworks within the series, all created from the same software system.
