Rising SEA Games

A Southeast Asian games-arts initiative encouraging creative freedom and experimentation.

The theme for this year Initiative is WOVEN. In Southeast Asian, history is woven into fabrics to celebrate , tell stories, and share our cultural heritage and identity. Creators from across SEA will weave their talents, skill, pride, and feelings into a produced, curated and released EP (Extended Play).

• BLUE SKY An avenue of creative freedom where the produced outputs are what will drive the games, whether it is a painting, a film, and for the first year, audio. (3 hour jam in Feb 2020)

• RUSH The game jam where the jammers take on the produced output from Blue Sky and turn it into a playable demo highlighting and driven by this year’s initiative.  (12 hour jam in Mar 2020)

• KITE An art jam or drink and draw where artists will choose a game x audio to illustrate within a constrained set of time. (3 hour jam in Apr 2020)
