My inspiration for this song is very simple, but also very personal. I always had the desire for my son to graduate from high school and enjoy the summer. He has achieved all of that. As I sat in the living room and thought about my next song, my son (now 21 years old) went down to the basement to get a fresh pair of underwear. I was overcome with pride for him and I thought about the years before, when I always told him and wished how great the summer would be when he graduated. I wrote this song for him, and my proud wife is extremely excited about the song. This song is of course for all young people who have completed or will complete a phase in their lives.
