I am a Northern Irish songwriter, producer, poet & writer blending emotional honesty with an occasional dose of Belfast wit. Known for quietly devastating lyrics that land softly but cut clean. I write with emotional honesty, from lived experience of pain through injury, mind, domestic abuse and the occasional cheeky line that sneaks up on you. Influenced by my love for many genres I may change it up in style but I favour restraint over spectacle — melodies that breathe, words that linger, and a hummingbird aesthetic that mirrors my work: light, sharp, and always in motion. I write with a huge Belfast heart crafting songs that reveal themselves slowly, like secrets told in confidence. I may keep the craic light in the songs but it's never far away. ✨️😊

A Child's Heavy Light
So I wrote this for my daughter as a kinda apology I guess. I was injured while serving in forces and she had to grow up with a Mum that was broken, constantly in a lot of pain, on a lot of meds, struggling with the depression and everything else that comes with serious injury and losing the life you had and were planning etc. I couldn’t do a lot with her like activities wise but I did the best I could when I could obviously and was never short in showing how much I loved her (although as I child that is irrelevant lol) .. However she did have to grow up a lot quicker than she should have and I never wanted that for her. Anyway its incredibly personal but she deserves praise for being an awesome daughter. We are incredibly close (which I love) but she struggles really bad with anxiety and depression and it breaks my heart especially because I know regardless of the years of school bullying etc at the root of it, it is probably my fault. We do get to do a little more out and about together now as I have an electric wheelchair which has been life changing. Anyway enough said, probably too much lol. (There is also a more celtic version of the song lol)more

Sparky & Splinters
So this is a wee song I wrote for my husband for our anniversary that tell a little bit of our story in a very light hearted bit of craic way, using our silly nicknames. It will never be released to the public (although he is trying to talk me into it but I just don't see the point as it isn’t going to speak to anyone else) but I would like it to be heard by someone other than in this house lol and hopefully have a wee chuckle also. Anyway please be kind like I said wasn't taking myself too seriously in it. Thanks for listening 😊 PS the Splinters had nothing to do with actual wood or DIY lol ------ Sparky & Splinters We met in basic training back in ’99, Two kids pretending we were tougher, trying hard to toe the line. We laughed it off as fate just tripping on its face, But I swear even then, Something shifted in that place. We had feelings we buried, Timing wasn’t our friend, So we stayed in the lines, Called it “just friends” back then. -------- Sparky and Splinters — Who’d ever believe Two almost‑lovers in uniform would grow roots this deep. We drifted apart, Eight years gone without a sound, But love has a funny way of circling back around. No lightning, no grand design — Just Sparky and Splinters, Your hand still holding mine. -------- Then one day you found me — or maybe I found you, Two older, wiser idiots with nothing left to prove. You were still the steady one, sarcastic as ever, And I was still Splinters — indecisive, but clever enough to say “never say never.” And even now on the sofa, no reason, no cue, Your hand finds mine like it was always meant to. --------- Sparky and Splinters — who’d ever believe Two almost‑lovers in uniform would grow roots this deep. We drifted apart, eight years gone without a sound, But love has a funny way of circling back around. No lightning, no grand design — Just Sparky and Splinters, your hand still holding mine. ----‐‐‐-- Maybe love isn’t timing, Maybe it’s the pull, Maybe it’s the way unfinished stories never stay dull. Maybe fate got impatient waiting for us to see, That we were always meant to come back — You to me, me to you, Naturally. ------‐‐-- Sparky and Splinters — Still side by side, Still laughing, still teasing, still choosing this life. We came back together when the stars aligned, And now your hand’s in my hand--- Always. more
