Floydski (Floyd Bergsma, 56) is a multi-talented independent artist who creates everything himself—from the instruments to the vocals. Music has always been part of his world. As a child, he often listened to his grandfather effortlessly moving between mandolin, banjo, flute, and even violin. In a family where everyone plays an instrument, it’s no surprise Floydski followed that path—choosing guitar as his main instrument. At 15, he joined his first band, and music has been a constant ever since. Over the years, he explored a wide range of styles and influences—hiphop/rap, jazz-rock, reggae, gospel, funk—and shaped a genre-blending sound where feel, groove, and spontaneity come first. What truly sets Floydski apart is his raw, live approach. He makes music every day without AI: improvising with his instruments and voice, then recording it that same day—capturing the energy of the moment exactly as it happened.
