What can teams do concretely as AI and agents become more prevalent? First, they may need to recognize that velocity without understanding is not sustainable… at least one human on the team fully understands each AI-generated change before it ships, document not just what changed but why,
The speed of writing code was never your problem. If you thought it was, the gap between that belief and reality is where all your actual problems live. The competitive advantage doesn't go to the team that writes code fastest. It goes to the team that figured out what to build, built it, and got it into users' hands while everyone else was still drowning in a review queue full of AI-generated PRs that nobody has the time or the energy to read.

We headed to Irby Dale, with the first descent in the woods, before moving on to Swallow Vale. I managed to make it up the steep climb before the lovely off-camber single track trail back down. We climbed again before making our way to Cuxwold via the road from Swallow. We traversed a few different fields that I hadn't ridden or walked, before coming out at Croxby. We passed a running event and rode two steep trails in the woods. Finally, we rode along the road through Hatcliffe and Beelsby before returning via Irby and Scrub Holt – arriving back as the church bells chimmed nine.
