I promise you things will get so much better when you start processing people’s behavior as information rather than a verdict on your self-worth. If someone doesn’t text back, suddenly pulls away, whatever it may be, the solution isn’t to put on a tap dance for them and try to regain their approval. It’s not to crash out on them and try to force them to react a certain way. It’s just to take a step back, take a deep breath, and assess what this tells you. What’s this saying about them? What’s this saying about you??
Like people’s actions are data points rather than death sentences. It could even be a data point about you. It could be that you’re not being a great friend, it could be that there’s something you guys miscommunication. Or it could be that they themselves don’t have the means to be consistent, aren’t in the headspace to meet you where you are, whatever. But this is always data rather than a judgment. Even if you’re the problem, behavior can change. Also, in the context of someone pulling back without explaining away, and assuming they didn’t give you a reasonable explanation in the first place, it’s also a data point that they’d react that way rather than communicate. Situations are always very context dependent, but they’re also always data.

All Trinity wants to do is sink her teeth into Dr. Al-Hashimi's neck-no, that's not right.
All Trinity wants to do is get through her shift, go home and sleep in her plush, cozy coffin bed. Maybe a little fast food on the way home - there was a creep hanging around that Emma mentioned a few times.
She just needed to get through these stupid charts... which would be 10,000 percent easier if Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi wasn't walking around smelling like she was born to tempt Trinity.

Barsantos spiderman Au
Trinity is- WAS- she was spiderman. She started young at 14 when she still thought the majority of the world was good and worth saving. She 'retired' at 20 after her bestfriends suicide she started med school.
Its been almost 8 years since she took off the mask and she has no intentions of putting it on again... until dennis finds her old 'keepsake' suit and with the help of Victoria their able to convince her to start fighting crime again.
Its mostly slow going and she can only really patrol on her days off. Until one night she stumbles across a women on a balcony crying. She assumes the worse she thinks of not being able to talk her friend off the roof. Of not being fast enough to catch her friend. Of her friends body laid out in a pool of blood because she just wasnt fast enough She ends up talking to the women assuming she's gonna talk her outta khs turns out she's fine her kid just graduated elementary school and it was really emotional and do you wanna see pictures?
Somehow trinity finds herself coming back over and over and the women- baran (she learns her name on night 3) find her self waiting on that balcony night after night.
Its all fun and games until baran starts at the ptmc 2 weeks after their nightly conversations become nightly (a month since their first meeting). And it definitely doesn't help that something fishy is happening in Pittsburgh that requires some spiderman attention.
(Something something trinity torn because she doesn't wanna lie to baran but baran seems to like 'spiderman' more than trinity so she keeps going even tho it feels like a betrayal and all she wants to do is take off her mask and kiss the older women.
And something something baran who doesn't seem the harm in openly flirting with a superhero its not like it will ever go anywhere but oh boy does that R2 make her heart race in a way that should not be happening and that is unacceptable on so many levels and needs to create distance before she jumps her bones in a supply closet)
Trinity gets hurt while out as spiderman often and baran is starting to put something together she just isnt sure what. (Dennis and Victoria do great patching her up but theres somethings you just cant hide) baran almost starts to think she's in an underground fight club
Except she never has to put it together because spiderman trinity is bleeding out on her balcony and shit just got a whole lot more complicated
Victoria - as the one to convince her to take up the suit again, takes it upon herself to run Trinity's official Spidey socials but somehow they end up pulling Joy in as well. It's entirely by accident but Joy overheard her trying interrogate ask the IT department for tips and tricks and what exactly is a VPN?
Dennis is king of getting Trinity all the extra food - especially after Trinity brings up that fighting crime increases her caloric requirement to a minimum of 10,000 calories a day. Putting in all that extra farm time comes with bringing home so much extra free food.
And the best part is? Baran would have a huge hunch prior to the bleed out not because of the matching bruise patterns she has eyes, after all, and if a superhero gets their knee kicked out and then her prickly R2 is limping the next day the dots connect themselves but because her R2 and her favorite masked vigilante do the same dorky victory dance.
