Sparta and Corinth as teenagers (or about Macedon's age)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been long since the fall of Mycenae; the Dorians were now rulers of Peloponnesus and the land had been split between them.
The Greek dark ages (~11th-9th cent) are poorly understood due to the lack of contemporary texts; however, we may derive info from the works of Homer and various settlements that have been discovered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Corinth definitely made and sold votive offerings during the Greek dark ages to derive revenue from.

2. Corinth knows of Sparta better than anybody. They had grown up together, under the restless eye of Doris, through the same successes and failures. It is fair to say that Corinth is the most loyal of the Greeks, for she always stayed by her brother 's side.

She was there when it happened. She was the one that saved him. And Sparta acknowledges it, even though he prefers to not show it.

3. Sparta would regularly bully Argos when they were kids

4. Sparta prefers not to waste his words: if you understood, great, next. If you didn't, well, too bad, because his daily word limit (of 2) has been exceeded. Corinth will be glad to interpret and explain to you though!

Aegina (/Aigina)

Aegina is an island in the Saronic gulf, across from Athens. It quickly grew to a substantial naval power (I'd place it at number 4 among the ancient cities, behind Corinth and Corcyra) and it was often that it came into conflict with Athens.

Its symbol was the turtle and, of course, I had to incorporate it (and what better way than make him what is basically a tmnt?).

Also fun fact: Owls eat turtles

Plakous (la: Placenta)

Or in other words, ancient Greek/Roman cheesecake. Not of my usual posting, but I really did enjoy both the process and the final result.

It's composed of 5 layers, made of wheat flour and spelt, each intersected by a layer of myzethra mixed with honey, the total wrapped in a dough of nothing but water and flour.

Words cannot accurately describe the flavour, but I do urge you to try it!
