“My entire life I have dreamt of being like everyone else—someone with a Quirk that would make society accept me, and if I was lucky enough, look up to me as I became a hero. Those dreams were fulfilled by All for One, yet the price to be paid… was a great one.”
At that moment, Aoyama addresses the boy in front of him with a look of conviction. It catches Izuku off guard for a moment, causing him to gasp as he takes a good look at his friend once more—this version of Yuga Aoyama is one that he's only had to pleasure of knowing for a short period of time, and is incredibly reminiscent of when he stood up to the greatest villain in history.
Only this time, he's not afraid.
“I wish to earn our friends and teachers’ forgiveness. I will continue to study under a hero course, but shall only return to U.A. once I've proven to myself that I am worthy of such a feat.” With a more genuine smile gracing his features, the blond lets out a small huff as color dusts over his cheeks. “And when I do, you will hopefully still have it in your heart to accept me as a friend.”
Or, Aoyama visits Izuku at the hospital after the events of the Final War.
