*ring ring* moshi moshi, ieafy-san! you may enjoy this fun fact too. ^^
“humid” in Japanese is 蒸し暑い which is pronounced “mushi-atsui”. It translates to “steamy-hot” so, humid. But it sounds like “bug-hot” (not a thing, though it should be) which is what some Japanese children think the word is before they learn kanji!
虫さんたちは、蒸し暑い天気が好きなんだね
☀️🪲🦟🪰🐜 :)
Have a wonderful day!!!
Oh my gosh, bug-hot! That is too cute, thank you for sharing this fun fact with me, it made me really happy 🥰
"Bugs must love bug-hot weather" haha ( ᴗ̀ ̫ᴗ́ )

I did a check to see if you had an etsy store but i didn't see a link for it? In case this isn't you, I think they took your art and are selling it. If it is you, please ignore this! I love your art and it seems a shame to have it misused by someone else for profit!
Ahhh no. That is not mine haha... (─ ‿ ─)
I wouldn't bother trying to file it for copyright infringement, by the way. I've tried once before (with all of the proper evidence and paperwork) and it was a waste of time and effort unfortunately. (Etsy had asked a different store owner who had stolen my art "Did you steal this art? ☺️" To which the person who stole my art responded with "No ☺️" - and I received an email to say the case was closed, lol.)
Thank you for looking out, and checking with me though, I really do appreciate it!
Honestly I feel more warm than anything else when I receive a message about art theft, because I'm touched that there are people who are considering me and reaching out to let me know what's happening 🥹 (so yeah, it sucks that it happens, but luckily im never actually discouraged by it)
Cats in grass, gouache (prints in shop 💌)
White-winged chough (Corcorax melanorhamphos) family
These birds are so fun to observe, they are highly social and go everywhere together, scuffling around on the ground like chickens and perching on branches to preen.
They also have a fascinating mechanism where they can increase the blood flow to their eyes, causing them to appear very red and large to scare of predators or for social communication (in this shot, they were upset with me for winding down my car window 😅)
Something a bit different - a false garden mantis (Pseudomantis albofimbriata) eating a Leafhopper (Siphanta acuta, I think).
As always but especially for this one I'm so grateful to the editing help and keen eye of my darling @ieafy and also the encouragement to post things I'm not 100% happy with.
Mote and (younger) Rem, art inspired by Graveward (link here) 🪲 this fic moves me so much 🥺🫶
