pitcher56はギターポップ系の日本のインディーズギターポップバンド。アルバム2枚、シングル1枚発表。メンバー全員が医師（デビュー当時は医学生）。 バナナの涙（うしろゆびさされ組のカバー）で注目を集めた。出荷枚数が少なかったためか、「a direction of rthe ball she hit」は一時amazonで数万円のプレミアがついたことがある。 メンバー全員、地方在住の医師でライブもしないため、ほとんど情報がないバンドである。
