Anara is AI tailored for scientific workflows. It helps researchers in academia and industry find, understand, and synthesize the literature, then write cited work grounded in their own sources, from a thesis or paper to a regulatory filing or internal report. Every claim links back to the exact passage it came from, so the output is something you can verify and trust.
General AI tools answer from memory and can invent sources. Anara answers only from the documents you give it, plus the web and academic databases when you ask, and every claim links back to the exact passage. It is built for research: searching your entire library, synthesizing across hundreds of papers, and citing as you write, rather than open-ended chat.
Every answer includes clickable citations that point to the exact passage in your sources. Because Anara works from the documents you upload rather than from memory, it cannot fabricate references to papers you do not have, and you can verify any claim in one click.
Yes. You can ask questions across a whole folder or your entire library, not one file at a time. Anara searches everything you have and grounds its answer in the most relevant passages from across all of it.
Yes. The free plan lets you upload documents, chat with them, and get cited answers, with no credit card required. It includes up to 2,000 AI words and 5 uploads per day. Paid plans raise or remove these limits.
Paid plans (Plus, Pro, Max, and Enterprise) raise your daily limits, allow larger uploads, let you choose between AI models, add more integrations, and expand collaboration. You can compare plans and prices on our pricing page.
Documents: PDF, Word (DOC, DOCX), PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), Markdown, TXT, and EPUB. Images: PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, and HEIC. Audio and video: MP3 and MP4. You can also save web pages and YouTube links directly to your library.
Yes. Import your Zotero or Mendeley library in one click, and connect OneDrive, Notion, or Dropbox. You can also search PubMed, bioRxiv, medRxiv, ClinicalTrials.gov, and a database of over 240 million academic papers from inside Anara, and export citations in any major style, including BibTeX and LaTeX.
We do not currently offer a student discount. The free plan covers a lot of research without any cost, and our paid plans are priced to stay affordable for individual students and researchers.
By default Anara selects a model for you automatically. On Pro and above you can choose between leading models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others, and the Max plan includes the most capable models for deep research.
Anara's interface is available in over 30 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and Portuguese. In chat, Anara replies in the language you write in and supports more than 90 languages. You can change the interface language anytime in Settings, under Preferences.
Yes. Share folders and libraries with specific collaborators or your whole workspace, so everyone works from the same sources and the same AI context. Larger teams can add SSO, admin controls, and shared connectors on the Enterprise plan.
Your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest. We never train AI models on your data and never sell or share it with third parties, and you can delete your files at any time. Enterprise plans add SSO and SAML, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and a HIPAA compliance path. Read more on our security page.
