When chapter 10 releases, though I am planning a half-release. The last month has been abysmal for writing, looking to steal more time away over the next 2 months to deliver something worth playing.

This book should go up to chapter 13, working on chapter 10 right now. I'm planning ~4 books only because it's a fun setting, but they're not going to need the sequels. Each book should finish that chapter of MCs life with >90% closure.
Book 1: Zero to Hero (or Villain)
Book 2: Life as an Archon, spanning 40-50 years.
Book 3: Playing as your grandchild (or Rin/Jin's if you don't have kids)
Book 4: Back to the first MC, possibly with a decent timeskip since you can be so longlived,
My biggest problem art-wise is finding an artist I would want for a production-level game. Something like the art in Legend of the Five Rings or Pathfinder. There are a lot of artists that aren't bad, but so far very few I'd want to put into a game I've blown years on. I've only found two good artists that were actually taking commissions; one was $400/illustration (I need ~50 so that's 20 grand) and the other openly said "no" when asked if they could sign on to do the game's worth of pictures.
Oh don't worry, that's not a bug. I hadn't finished the Fang quest yet and the writing naturally lead to a possible romance scene. I have some players who have been asking for it for a while so my heart filled with joy as I thought of how to block them from happiness. (Ask her to come with you in a Chapter 9 Trial, there's still a chance)
The funniest part is it was 6 months after they removed my discord link from the CoG thread. I had thought we were all good with that, and a few regulars+mods went on to say they reached out to me over and over about how the discord was still a problem (a lie). When asked to post a single DM of actually reaching out to me, they banned the people asking lmao.
It's water under the bridge though, I thought fixing Twine and making my own codetester would be hard and take years. I was wrong. Took 4 months to make it all and translate the game.
Not to worry there, the days of Choicescript are over. I have moved completely off of it and onto the Aurillian Framework that I had to invent. Aura Clash is officially an independent studio.
I'm sorry about the ban and feel partly responsible. I do want to say the Admins (actual owners) were much more reasonable than the mods, so the people doing the hit job will not be the people getting the money from publishing with HG. I'd suggest taking some time away and seeing if the itch to write comes back. ChoiceScript is still the easiest way to run (very) necessary bug tests and get published so I recommend them, but if you still don't want to go with them I can help with a Twine port and publishing since I've had to figure out that process anyway.
