Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the project coordinator for Experience Jackson with the Jackson County Convention and Visitors Bureau. I handle our marketing and advertising, our budget, sales, and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with RJM?

RJM is responsible for our marketing and advertising, brand strategy, and other materials.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

RJM is a comprehensive marketing partner for our organization. They support us through project tracking and budget planning, as well as with the printing and distribution of our brochures. Additionally, the team leads us through our media planning and manages our digital campaigns. They help us promote our organization through a range of areas, from social media to billboards, as well as radio and television ads, for which they produce and release videos. They also serve as brand strategy consultants.

RJM handles our paid media placements and provides audits as well as monthly reports for Google ads and the other campaigns we run. When necessary, the team also carries our website maintenance and updates.

Further, they’re available for market and industry research services whenever we need them.

What is the team composition?

Mike (Director of Accounts) and Donovan (President) are my two main points of contact. There’s a larger team that supports our project behind them.

How did you come to work with RJM?

RJM was brought on before I joined the company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$200,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2013, and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our main objective is to get people to visit Jackson County, and RJM has done a great job of doing that. The team is highly collaborative and always offers extremely creative and innovative solutions to help us achieve our goals. They're constantly thinking outside the box about what we can capitalize on and offer to our audience. Their team provides excellent results every single time.

How did RJM perform from a project management standpoint?

At the beginning of each month, we have a planning meeting that they’re present for. The team attends our partner meetings and board meetings as well, on top of our bi-monthly meetings, contributing to their overall knowledge and engagement with our organization. 

RJM is highly communicative — I can reach out whenever I need to and get a response immediately. They’re fantastic at answering questions and explaining concepts we might not necessarily understand. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

RJM is extremely community-driven. We appreciate that they’re local and truly understand what we have to offer. They do a great job of understanding our audience and our needs, which makes them stand apart from other agencies. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

No matter how far away you are, go meet in person with them. They’re fantastic people.
