In the initial phase, they conducted UX research, analyzed competitors, and mapped out the main user flows. Based on this data, the team created mockups that became the basis for the final website design. For the UI, they worked efficiently using the UI kit that we provided, adapting it to a modern interface specifically designed for a news platform with a large amount of content.

On the development side, U1CORE implemented a full version of WordPress so that our team could easily publish articles, manage categories, and update content without technical support. They also provided an SEO-oriented structure and configured the website for easy ongoing SEO management

We have got a significant improvement in user interaction with our website. The new structure and user journey have made it easier for visitors to understand our offerings, find key information faster, and navigate the site without delays. As a result, navigation has become smoother, users spend more time on the pages they need, and we have also noticed better interaction with our key calls to action.

The UX strategy and design updates have also helped reduce friction in important flows — fewer abandonments, lower bounce rates, and better conversion rates. In addition, the design system they created made everything more consistent and much easier to maintain, so future updates and new pages can be done faster without disrupting the visual language.

The action plan they provided gave us a clear roadmap for implementing the design across all touchpoints, and we are already seeing a more polished, professional look online that better represents our product.

What was the scope of their involvement?

U1CORE has provided UI/UX design services for our e-commerce platform and for our clients. The process starts with a discovery phase, where we have in-depth communication with them to give them as much information as possible about what we want to achieve. We discuss the UI/UX design, specific pages, general branding, and positioning.

U1CORE has also completed projects directly for our company. The team has helped us build our internal products in Shopify and work on our e-commerce stores.

For our e-commerce platform, U1CORE has made suggestions regarding our platform’s conversion rate optimization (CRO), such as adding icons, social proof, and Instagram feeds to make the store look less stale. They’ve also made improvements to product and collection pages based on their auditing. U1CORE provides reports on what our competitors are doing. The team uses Figma to create the designs. Currently, we're still working with one of their designers.

We’ve worked with 6–7 teammates from U1CORE on different projects, including Taras, who got us into the groove initially, two managers, and a designer. On most projects, we work with two-and-a-half people: Taras, a manager, and a rotating assistant.

We've had quite a few very good collaborations with U1CORE and have had an excellent experience so far. U1CORE’s work has made our clients happy, which is what matters. The team has helped us unload a huge amount of work and relieve some stress. We’ve seen an increase in our conversion rate since U1CORE started working on our homepage.

Working with U1CORE has been a very good investment. We've gotten our money back based on our metrics and business profitability. Overall, we’ve had a very mutually beneficial partnership with U1CORE. We’ve collaborated on various projects together, and they’ve been a valuable source of client work for us. U1CORE has needed some very specific specialists of our caliber, and we’ve collaborated on that as well.

How did U1CORE perform from a project management standpoint?

U1CORE has met deadlines and stayed on budget. We’ve had no problems with the timeline. We use ClickUp and CAKE.com for project management and Clockify for time tracking. We mostly use Slack and Telegram, since the latter is very popular in Eastern Europe. We also have the team's direct phone numbers and use email and Google Meet, which is very good at recording calls and generating transcripts.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Taras is an impressive individual. He’s surprisingly young but has delivered insanely good results. He’s built a very cool agency, and I’ve seen the scale they’ve done it on, which is very impressive from a business perspective.

U1CORE has killer designers. Taras knows a thing or two about UI/UX and has hired the right people. The designers are solid experts. Moreover, everyone on the team speaks great English, which means we can bring on American clients to talk to them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could work on their service offering a little bit more. However, it depends on where they want to take their business. They’re doing well with UI/UX design, so there’s not much they can do. I could also learn a couple of things from them.
