Optimize the application's text content to ensure a supportive and calming tone, helping users make informed decisions without unnecessary stress.
Scope of the project: 
We developed a web-based application optimized for casino kiosks. Through this application, players can initiate the self-exclusion process from gambling activities. The exclusion data is then sent directly to the Ministry of Finance, which maintains the register of excluded individuals, fulfilling the legislative requirement. 
During development, we took a highly empathetic approach, considering the emotional state of potential users. The application’s user journey is as simple as possible, with a visually welcoming design to enhance the user.

I’m the CEO of a company that wholesales nuts, dried fruits, candies, and seeds. We have a B2B and B2C level and distribute to the Czech and Slovakian markets.

What challenge were you trying to address with Argo22?

We needed to upgrade our e-commerce platform and ERP systems, so we looked around and investigated working possibilities. We also required assistance choosing the right ERP system.

To sum up, we needed a custom-designed, modern, and open e-commerce platform that allowed us to make quick changes, test functions, develop things, and perhaps add AI as well. This decision was a big step for our company.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Argo22 designed and developed our e-commerce platform from scratch using React and Next.js. They also helped us choose the right ERP system to communicate with our e-commerce platform. In fact, the team presented us several options of companies that could provide the right ERP system.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around 6–8 people. We were in close communication with three people, but there were more front- and backend programmers working on our project.

How did you come to work with Argo22?

We had good references for Argo22. It’s usually hard to find good programmers who can meet deadlines and deliver what they promise, but we asked a lot of people who were experienced with Argo22, and they all recommended we pick them.

We’ve spent around €100,000.

We worked together from March 2021–July 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Argo22 successfully delivered our custom e-commerce website. The new ecosystem's results are much better in terms of conversion rates and the way people finish their orders in our e-shop. The old platform wasn’t very good on mobile, but the new system from Argo22 is very mobile-friendly, and we have many more people buying on mobile.

The results were great. We could make changes in our platform and don't see any issues come up.

How did Argo22 perform from a project management standpoint?

Argo22 delivered on time. There were a few budgeting issues regarding the launch of the whole product, but we needed to add a few functions. Moreover, we used Asana for high-level project management and Jira for more programming-related project management.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We have a very good relationship with Ondřej, the business analyst, who was excellent. I’d also like to mention our project manager, Michal. He was very good at helping us deliver things. I was also in close communication with Martin, a backend developer who was very important in our project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Argo22's team can deliver what they promise, which isn’t usual in programming. They were very good at documenting the project, which was really important. If you don’t know how a function works, you can open the documentation, find it, change it, or develop it further. I also appreciated that they delivered on deadlines and didn't make mistakes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was very satisfied with the project, so I don’t know what Argo22 can improve. Compared with other programmers, they could see that they were expensive, but they were honest and would give you a realistic price.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want a good partner who can deliver on their promises, you should choose Argo22 because you can count on them. By engaging them, you can focus on your business and future development. It will be great.

I’m the CEO and founder of Ring Local LLC. We operate in several different industries, including senior home services and outdoor recreation. We also work on large directory sites and lead generation.

What challenge were you trying to address with Argo22?

We were getting into the outdoor industry and had a project called Basecamping.com. It was like a Kayak or Expedia.com for RV rentals and campgrounds. So, we asked Argo22 to bid on it since we were looking for solutions for this particular project. It was a brand-new endeavor, and we wanted to see what else existed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Argo22 provides website development and design services for us. They’re working on both front- and backend development for this particular project. They’re handling the databases and API development as well as the website's design and UI. So far, it’s been going well.

We’ve been working with their frontend team for the first time and the backend team we’ve always worked with. The key technologies they use are PHP and JavaScript. This project has a heavy database, so there’s no central management system. We have also done hosting with them previously, but this project is purely development.

What is the team composition?

We have dealt with around seven people, including the head of the company, a finance person, frontend developers, backend developers, and project managers.

How did you come to work with Argo22?

Years ago, a person started working for me. He recommended Argo22 because he’d done work with them in a previous company. I engaged them based on his recommendation, and we have been working with them ever since.

Speaking of this most recent project, we liked them the best. They provided a full-scope document, and we reviewed it back and forth for about a month. Ultimately, we picked them to do everything and signed a contract with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $50,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Argo22 has successfully built the agreed-upon websites. They are up, which demonstrates the success of their work. They have also built a whole system that allows us to find many local pages that display local directories.

This way, we can find displayed local home services companies or RV rentals available and pages showing vendors, just like in Clutch. They’ve successfully managed a lot of database logic, matching companies to locations and service areas to locations.

How did Argo22 perform from a project management standpoint?

They have been very good at respecting the budget. We recently started working with a dedicated project manager, so things have gone smoother. We use Teamwork as a project management tool, which they’ve integrated into our system. We also do a lot of Google Meet calls, although we occasionally communicate via email and phone calls. To sum it up, we combine calls and then interact through Teamwork.

Bugs pop up periodically. However, the team is very responsive. We typically send them a high-priority ticket, and even though they are overseas, they get back to us quickly, in around 30 to 60 minutes. Overall, they are responsive, and when things happen, they fix them.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to give a shout-out to Libor, the CEO, who has been tremendous, and to Martin, the CTO. He has been great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Argo22 has been able to do everything we’ve asked them to do. Before working with them, we had an internal IT team, but Argo22 has allowed me not to have an IT team anymore; they do the work. The breadth of what they can do is very large, which suits my large company. They have shown an impressive range: from front- and backend development to database development in several programming languages, they can handle it. No matter what the problem is.

As I mentioned, we've done hosting with them before, and they've done well. They’ve been very versatile in terms of what they’ve been able to figure out. When we have multiple projects, we have implemented dedicated teams with them, and no issues have arisen.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The biggest one is the time zones. Our workdays overlap primarily up until noon Eastern, so Argo22 is a lot easier to get ahold of until about one o’clock. It's worth keeping that in mind. There have also been some delays on projects we have had to nudge them on. Other than that, they have been very proactive.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have regular Google Meet calls. It works better to see them and do face-to-face calls as opposed to having everything go through your project management system. The team at Argo22 speaks English very well, but it helps to talk to them instead of just interacting through email.

I’m the managing director of LinkNova, a global digital marketing agency. We have offices in the UK, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. We work with a wide variety of clients, from large blue-chip companies to smaller SMEs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Argo22?

We hired Argo22 for their custom software development services. We needed to build a client reporting tool to onboard our clients and track our work and results.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We already had a scope in mind, and they complied. First, they walked us back and forth through the development process, explaining what could be done and matching it against our ideas. Then, Argo22 built the system from scratch: a custom-built CMS.

The reporting tool had two parts: one for our internal use and another for our clients. We could input all the client information and set up all the different tracking on the internal part. On the client-facing part, reports could be run, and clients could come in and see how their campaigns were doing.

Afterward, Argo22 maintained and updated the tool, and provided continuous support. It’s worth noting that we had our own servers for crawling the internet and gathering data, it’s not clear if they used our hosting platform or put it on their own.

What is the team composition?

We initially worked with Libor, Argo22’s CEO, but we worked with several different people on their team, depending on the project’s stage. We worked with project managers and dedicated developers. At specific points, we even had one of their developers working in our office so that we could communicate with them directly. Staff came and went on both sides because it was a fluid, long-term project.

How did you come to work with Argo22?

We had a relationship with Libor for many years. One of our founders had worked with him at a previous company. We had done a few small projects with Libor, and as his agency grew, they became more specialized and could offer the depth we needed to do a project of this magnitude. Choosing them was a no-brainer.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $670,000–$700,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The main project lasted from January 2015 to 2017. There was some support after that, but we no longer work with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The fact that they delivered a fully functional tool that met our reporting needs was a success.

The complexity of the project and the technical problems we had to overcome were also a measure of success. There weren’t KPIs, but we could present information to the clients and get the data we needed. The feedback from our clients, who also used the tool without issue, was good as well.

How did Argo22 perform from a project management standpoint?

We had one of their developers in our office, which made communication much easier. Throughout the engagement, we had no problems with scheduling or project management. Argo22 deployed a remarkable problem-solving approach. Moreover, we used tools like Asana and Trello.

Given that we had 40–50 people in our London office and many consultants were using the system, we had developers on our side who looked after our tools and communicated with Libor and his team. They were the ones who managed systems like Trello.

It was the early days of Slack. We used Google Meet and Microsoft Teams for video calls, the usual suspects for corporate communication.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Libor, the founder and CEO, was exceptional. He took a hands-on approach and ensured that the correct team members were assigned to help us when we needed them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their depth of knowledge and professionalism were impressive. I’ve worked with many developers, and there was no doubt that Argo22 built a knowledgeable team that did things step by step. Even at the start of this challenging project, we had confidence that it wouldn’t break down halfway through; that was great.

Overall, Argo22’s pedigree was top-notch. The team was quite meticulous and perfectionist; they were all fantastic people.

Ultimately, the team members' knowledge and textbook, gold-standard approach to the project led to its success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were quite expensive, considering they were an offshore partner. If there was anything, and this is nitpicking, it would be their English-speaking skills. The level of English in certain discussions could be improved. However, I wouldn’t note it as a bad point, as it never impacted the project itself.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take into account that they approach things very analytically and step-by-step. They will hold your hand and guide you; you can tell them what you want and change your mind later, bringing new ideas to the table. However, if you want to work with Argo22 most efficiently, you should know where you want the project to go and what you want it to do instead of asking for general or ambiguous solutions. Have a plan.

As part of the project there was a request to create an official GoPay plugin for WooCommerce. The plugin was to be used to speed up and simplify the integration of GoPay payment gateway to e-commerce sites using WooCommerce. The plugin design had to meet key features especially in the area of security, so that the plugin could not be abused.  Furthermore, to provide users with a simple, and intuitive solution for managing their online payments. Thanks to it, customers of these eshops can benefit from a fast and smooth payment process, which fundamentally improves the overall shopping experience. The GoPay plugin for WooCommerce brings increased functionality to online stores, enabling greater control over payment transactions and simplifying payment management, thereby supporting the growth and success of merchants who choose GoPay solutions.
