In many cases, the solutions provided were not fully aligned with our business requirements, and additional clarification or rework was needed.
Responsiveness was inconsistent — we did not always receive timely or proactive support, and the expected level of ownership was missing in some tasks.

Timely Delivery of Commitments:
Several tasks and change requests were delayed and required frequent follow-ups. Better planning and adherence to timelines would improve overall execution.
Providing Complete and Practical Solutions:
In some cases, the solutions provided were not fully aligned with our business requirements, which led to rework. A deeper understanding of the business process before delivering a solution would help.
Proactive Communication:

Accely INC. provides application management and support services for the ERP SAP ECC application we use across our company. We’re changing some business processes within our company, so Accely INC.’s team is helping us map new requirements into the app to facilitate custom business transactions for our client companies, including payment processing, sales and distribution, and accounting and HR tasks. All of these efforts consider the local legal requirements of every user.

Accely INC. has efficiently addressed every challenge we’ve given them, so everything is running well. We measure their activity with a ticket managing system to monitor their work and trend data to see how many hours they take to solve any issue we ask them to solve.

How did Accely INC. perform from a project management standpoint?

Accely INC. is strong in their domain, but their project management can get a bit laggy because sometimes they respond on time and sometimes they don’t. Still, they’re already trying to improve this.

Regarding communication tools, we use email, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? 

I’d like to highlight Mahesh.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by Accely INC.’s approach to their customers; whenever we call, they’re ready to provide support, even outside office hours and on Saturdays and Sundays, which is difficult to find.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The team could increase their bandwidth towards experienced consultants. In addition, they could enhance their project management because they’re quite laggy at managing some tasks.

Accely has helped us develop an ERP software solution for our needs. Initially, they took our requirements and documentation, and we then had conference calls to engage in technical discussions. Once we completed those discussions, Accely defined the milestones for the project, after which they started executing and following the plan they established.

The platform aims to help us track shipments using commercial invoices from import and export documentation.

Currently, we're having a challenge with the Excel sheet, so after implementing this, we will get all the documents online.

Accely Inc is great with project management. In addition, they're a young team that's easily accessible and responsive, so we can rely on them. Overall, instead of creating a problem, they provide a solution. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We thought we'd experience implementation difficulties, but Accely Inc's system is easily understandable by the end users. We can easily accommodate the system, and the user can get integrated. Additionally, their team has a very good knowledge of various APIs, which we can incorporate into third-party software.

They should get more support in terms of workforce.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The software platform that Accely provides lets us capture all of our exports, billing, documentation, compliance, files, and others. Their platform isn’t a part of our standard system applications and products (SAP) system, but we run it parallel to our system. Whenever we bill anything, invoices are tracked, and all related compliance documents are done through the software. For financial credits, we have a check-in option where our customers’ finance control is registered. 

When we receive a purchase order, we place it into our manufacturing unit through the SAP system. Once we do the billing, we can capture the invoice and transfer all data from the SAP system into Accely’s module. From there, we can create reports, indexes, and credit letters, among other things. This way, we can track all payments, compliances, and other bank-related documents.

We work with a project manager who answers our questions and manages the solution. 

How did you come to work with Accely INC.?

We first met our project manager with our previous service provider. When he presented their solutions, we felt that they adapted to our requirements well. After he moved to Accely, he suggested that we do the same. Knowing him and his expertise, we decided to adapt to that change. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’re currently paying around 12,500 Indian rupees per year (approximately $151.93 USD).

We started working with them in January 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

We haven’t seen any issues with the system. There have been some glitches at the very beginning of the transition, but that’s something that can happen to any business during such a transition.

Our project manager’s working style is great. We haven’t had any issues with him; his response time is great, and he has a great understanding of our queries. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Accely understands our needs. Before our contact person approached us, we had already met with 3–4 vendors. Nobody could understand our problem and what we wanted from the solution. By contrast, our project manager understands us and explains our options well. That’s highly impressive for us.

They could assign more people to work with our project manager since he often is overworked.

What challenge were you trying to address with Accely INC.?

For context, we have two active units: one is a normal seasoning directed to our domestic requirements, while the other is an export-oriented unit. Our business challenge relates to the documentation required for exports. Our systems applications and products (SAP) system doesn’t provide any solutions for handling exports into the system. 

When we initially implemented our SAP system, we were using standard functionalities to create invoices. All information like handling commissions and life cycle management (LCM) had to be handled outside the system. We engaged Accely to help us with these issues. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Accely has a ready-made solution that they offer to other customers. To fit our requirements, they’ve customized the software to respond to our internal processes. They’ve integrated their platform directly with our SAP system. It now runs as a module implemented into our SAP system. 

What is the team composition?

We interact with two people directly: one on the technology side and one in the sales area.

How did you come to work with Accely INC.?

We reached out to Accely and found out that they had a solution that could help us address our problems. They provided us with a demo of their product, and we started the engagement.

We’ve spent around $13,000 for the implementation of the platform and around $2,500 for their ongoing support. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started around November 2020, and we’ve implemented the system in two phases. The first phase took about 6–8 weeks, while the second one was around 12 weeks. They continue to provide support services.

Because Accely’s solution has been implemented in our SAP system, our end users no longer have to go through a separate page to do a single process. 

How did Accely INC. perform from a project management standpoint?

Since the project has mainly taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic, all our meetings and communications are done through Teams. 

We have meetings twice per week, where all team members participate and discuss our requirements. Training sessions have also been held via Teams; similarly, the deployment has been done remotely. This has been hard because it’s one of the first projects we have to do online, but it works. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Accely has provided us with a solution that meets our expectations. Moreover, their technical specialist understands our processes even more than our users, and that’s great.

No, there aren’t any.

Accely INC. provided us with IT consulting support and helped us implement a solution for our planning and budgeting processes. In the past, our budgeting and planning processes were done manually. Now, we just have to submit our budgets into the system instead of having to input data into a spreadsheet, effectively making our processes system-driven and streamlined.

We worked with a project leader, an account manager, and 2–3 consultants from Accely INC.. One of the owners was also present in our update meetings.

We were not happy with the partner that was previously supporting us in this process, so we asked for recommendations for another agency. Accely INC. was referred to us.

The project went live on time, so we were able to migrate our processes into the system in a timely manner. 

How did Accely INC. perform from a project management standpoint?

Accely INC. performed well in terms of project management. We had a weekly meeting, where they shared the state of the project and reportedany issue that came up. We didn’t use any project management tools, but we had an Excel document that we used to share data. 

We typically communicated through Microsoft Teams. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project lead was an extremely knowledgeable person. He had extensive industry experience, which definitely helped drive the project forward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their project management skills could still improve. The project lead also acted as the technical lead, which was not the best way to work on a project. There should be another separate individual to take care of the technical aspects of the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to clearly communicate the scope of the project. This system was new to us, so we were not able to scope the engagement as best as we could.
