When we initially approached them to redesign our website, little did we know that we were in for a transformative experience that would reshape our online presence in ways we hadn't even imagined. But it turned out to something else. Instead of jumping headfirst into design, they proposed something that spoke volumes about their dedication – they wanted to understand us inside-out before even sketching a new layout.

Through extensive consultations and deep-dive discussions, they got to the heart of what Motif Fable is all about. They identified the strengths that set us apart and the pain points our users were facing. But the magic didn't stop there. Instead of simply proceeding with the design, MOTIF suggested a temporary pause on the project. This, at first, might have seemed surprising, but their rationale was profound.

They knew that a successful website wasn't just about aesthetics – it had to be rooted in user experience and backed by data. We didn’t really know where to start. It is our first time on shopify and I would say we were kind of lost, we were trying to launch the ecommerce portion of our site. We started our search on Google.

The flexibility is key. I’ve worked with people in my past and it has been very difficult to get things changed and they were very unaccommodating. MOTIF® was very fast and responsive to all the issues and requests.

Super easy to work with and very direct. We have a fully functioning site that was done very cost effectively and at a high quality of design and functionality and the turn around time has been super fast MOTIF’s communication has been very clear, all requests were met and everything was explained fully

The fact that you guys make suggestions on what would be the best choice and is very cost conscious.

I would say Motif is the best to work with and they will deliver above and beyond what they have promised. You should definitely work with Motif! I have been in the fashion ecommerce space for 15 years and they have been one of the most professional, fast, flexible, communicative companies I have worked with!

MOTIF cares about my success. You often just pay an agency that then does their work, so you don’t necessarily feel like they care. MOTIF wants to be a partner. We still work with them, which is a testament to how they work with us.

Understand that they’re a partner, and work with them to learn your audience and how to best target it. It takes time to understand how to better market a brand. These projects don’t happen overnight.

The goal of this project is to establish 1948 Water as a premium water brand through a refined digital presence, optimized customer acquisition strategy, and high-impact marketing execution. The focus is on positioning 1948 Water as a luxury lifestyle product while driving conversions and brand loyalty.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As we worked on 1948 Water, we saw clear, measurable progress across multiple areas. First, our customer acquisition cost (CAC) decreased, while our conversion rates improved, showing that our targeting and funnel optimizations were working.

On the website side, we saw an increase in engagement metrics higher time on site, lower bounce rates, and a stronger checkout conversion rate. Our direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales grew steadily, and our repeat purchase rate increased, indicating stronger brand loyalty.

For ads and customer acquisition, our return on ad spend (ROAS) improved, and we successfully refined our messaging and targeting, leading to a more efficient ad spend.

Overall, the project helped solidify 1948 Water positioning as a luxury lifestyle brand while driving sustainable revenue growth.
