parentela (plural parentelas)
- (law) An ancestor and all of his or her descendants; all descendants of a person's ancestors of a certain degree.
- In re Gregory's Estate, 44 Colo. App. 538, 540, 616 P.2d 186, 188 (Colorado Court of Appeals, July 31, 1980):
- The maternal heirs of decedent derive their relationship from decedent's grandparents, and thus fall in the grandparent parentela.
