     Using the formulae included the game moderator determins how much mana is needed to cast the magic.      I wouldn't say ripping off other songs.. When they do their covers or remixes or sampling or adaptating, they don't destroy the original work. The original song is still out there, so it doesn't matter if you like the remake or not, other people might, so don't be complaining about it.

     That is usually interpretated as 1) something different coming out along reproduction, 2) the differences are found to be better adaptated to the given life area 3) the ones having a best adaptation have more chance for surviving that the lesser adaptated ones. As simple as this.
