1. (Hong Kong, obsolete) wholesaler, especially of fresh food
   • 1926 April 20, “Only A Joke! $10,600 Found in Safe of Pig Laan. Hotel Mystery Cleared.”, in The China Mail, page 1:

     Accompanied by police and the owner, he led the way to premises in the western district which were used as the office of a pig laan (i.e. a wholesale pig depot).
