使用する際の注意点

• The given table gives a general overview of Anglian forms with a slight tendency towards Mercian (for other Anglian forms, see Campbell (1959) §762). However, the main alternations from this table are that:
  • due to Mercian's levelling of the diphthongs spelt ⟨eo⟩ and ⟨io⟩, the forms liofas, liofaþ, and liofa may also appear as leofas, leofaþ, and leofa.
  • Northumbrian seemingly had no /j/ in the form equivalent to the table’s Mercian form lifġu, which resulted in forms like lifo or liofo.
  • The Northumbrian gloss to the Lindisfarne Gospels tends to show a vowel /i/ between /f/ and /j/, so that (among other differences) the table's subjunctive form lifġe (found in the Mercian Vespasian Psalter and in the Northumbrian section of the Rushworth Gospels) has lifiġe in Lindisfarne.
