@emmanuelyee +1 totally agree.
This is the one thing holding me back from a full browser move from Chrome - even if it's an option to ADD a name, so people who like the minimalism aren't left out.

Named groups > Pills and no. hovering over the islands is not a solution. either make it the default to have names or make a setting to adjust per user. this is complete nonsense

Another nonsense is that the islands can't be pinned.
*Islands should work like in Edge and have the options popup each time island is created

Is it still not possible? With many collapsed tab islands it is quite a mess.

@EmmanuelYee, absolutely! That's a brilliant idea! Having a preset name or label for Tab Islands would make organizing and navigating through tabs so much easier. Instead of a messy list of websites, a clear, concise label would give instant context, especially when juggling multiple projects or topics. I hope the Opera team takes note of this suggestion—it's a small tweak that could make a huge difference in productivity. Love this idea!

optionally naming island would be a great improvment.eventually pinning tab inside an iland as well ?

i second this it is so annoying when i'm doing research and i have to go looking through the tabs to see what that island was about.

+1 very much needed. Tab island is grouping and grouping is only useful when you can quickly identify what that group is about. A color doesn't tell me that, so a name is preferred
