Link moves faster than running when he's also rolling over! Press the A button while tilting the left joystick to roll towards the direction you're going. This action can also be used in combat to dodge or maneuver to a better position.

Whether you're fighting a single enemy or a group, there are times that you'd want to focus the camera on your target even as you move.
Locking on with the ZL button lets you move Link relative to the target's position, making it easier to direct your hits towards the enemy and respond to their movement.

When you're running low on hearts inside a dungeon, look for pots and break them to see if they contain hearts. Enemies also drop hearts sometimes, but breaking pots are safer if you need to replenish your health as they don't fight back!

There are Postboxes installed on a lot of the islands in the Great Sea, especially in areas that are involved in the main story. Regardless of where you currently are, see if a nearby postbox is "wobbling", as this means that you just got a letter!
Letters often contain various items and even Rupees as rewards for previously completed quests, whether they're part of the main story or quick side quests.

It really is dangerous to go alone, so maybe bring a fairy or two with you in your adventure! Fairy Bottles can replenish 10 hearts when opened or automatically revive Link when his hearts are fully depleted.
You can obtain Fairy Bottles by capturing Fairies with one of the 4 Empty Bottles in the game. Fairies are usually found in Fairy Fountains, but they can also appear from broken pots in certain areas.

Try to stop by every island that you come across while sailing the Great Sea, even if they're not part of the main story. You might find rare items like Heart Pieces, important Quest Items, and other treasures!

Don't forget to save your adventure when you need to head back to the real world. You can save by opening up the menu and selecting the Save option. Take not that reloading your save may place you back to the entrance of a dungeon or island.

If you're playing on Switch 2, it's recommended to use save states to save your progress. This makes it less likely for your save file to get corrupted or erased. It also allows you to return to the exact point where you saved instead of starting at the entrance of a dungeon or island.
