What are Towns?

Safe Areas to Rest and Recuperate

Towns are safe zones where you can take a break from random enemy encounters and interact with friendly NPCs. These areas also typically include facilities like shops and inns to help you prepare for the journey ahead, but not every town has every single facility in it.

Also, the town classification includes shrines, but shrines won't have any facilities, and they typically only allow you to either teleport or have a key item for the game's story.
