The Sessions

The Sessions is a quiet solo journalling RPG about a therapist and one unsettling client.

Across nine sessions, you record what the client says, what slips through, and what stays with you afterwards. A standard deck of playing cards guides each session, shaping the themes, intensity, and moments of unease.

There is no fixed mystery to solve and no single hidden truth. Instead, the story builds through fragments, repeated phrases, contradictions, and the slow effect the client has on the therapist.

As play continues, you track Professional Distance, Intrusion, and Recognition to see how the act of listening changes you.

By the end, you may remain clear. You may believe you understand. Or the client may stay with you long after the final session.
