It's fascinating, how much is revealed in this fairly simply single exposure. You see the Orion constellation an the Taurus constellation with it's Hyades star cluster for the head and the legendary Pleiades star cluster for the spot on it's body, if you will. There is the Milky Way over Orion, the Trapezium nebula at Orion's belt. Even a faint glow of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex is discernible. Simply amazing.

Orion, the Hunter, is visible from October through March in both hemispheres. This constellation was named after the hero of Greek mythology who was killed by Scorpius, the scorpion.
