Name of Applicant: Address of Applicant: Actual Inventor: Address for Service: TO BE COMPLETED BY APPLICANT SIEGFRIED PA U L 14 Pamela Diive, Goonellabah N.S.W. 2480 Siegfried P a u 1 14 Pamela Drive, Goonellabah N.S.W. 2480 Complete Specification for the invention entitled: Sunlight Concentrator out of Plastic Foil The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me:-* SNote: The description is to be typed in double spacing, pica type face, in an area not exceeding 250 mm in depth and 160 mm in width, on tough white paper of good quality and it is to be inserted inside this form.
14599/78-1L Printed by C. J. THOMPSON, Commonwealth Government Printer, Canberra This invention relates to a new kind of sunlight concentrators for cooking, generating electricity, pumping fluids and for using as a dish. It represents the cheapest wayof manufacturing and the possibility to fold it j together when out of use or on transportation.
This invention proposes a simple construction and the use of cheap material, which make it affordable for even. the poorest people, who now can save their vegetation instead of burning it for fuel.
10 The new sunlight concentrator can also be used for reception and transmitting signals with datellites by customary C electronic devices for emergency oases when best quality is not necessary.
.00.0: The added drawing shows in figure 1 an overall. view of the 0 invention and in figure 2 a vertical section of it.
00000: This sunlight concentrator consists of two about 1500 mm.
a diameter disks 1 and 2 of strong plastic foil, the lowermost disk2 is aluminized on the top surface or between two 0 0 laminated foils and the covering other disk 1 transparent A 20 and heat resistant to above 100 degrees Celsius. They are both welded or glued together at the periphery 3 and also at two inner circles 4a and 4b with diameters of about 1350 and 1200 nmm. That can be done by a big round welding or glueing pressing machine with very little costs at big series.
The outer seams form, when inflated, concentric hollow rings 5a and 5b, which are provided with closable openings or valves 6 by which they are completely filled with sand, soil, water, concrete or air of certain pressure, in order 1- II to stabilize the inner part 7/9 of the construction. This part 7/9 is provided with a valve 8 as used at air mattresses that it can be inflated with the mouth to a lentil shape. A stripe 10 fastened inside in the midst to both foils 1 and 2 indicates the correct inflation of the concentrator, which now forms a sufficient shapeof a pX'arabolic mirror, as its focus has not to be very sharp on the bottom of a cooking pan or pot or a solar panel, 'which I is situated above the concentrator in direction to the sun, fastened below the top of the tripod 11 which sulports the whole device with eyelets 12 at the outer edge of the dish.
In order to drive a hot air (Stirling) motor by this sunh ~.:light concentrator or to generate electricity with solar 0000 cells or p~anels by the solar light spot, this invention is recommending the use of a Fresnel lens cut of plastic I material in front of the heated device to get a smaller and more intensive hot lighit spot or a more effective output capacity of voltage and current.
A circle 13 drawn in the centre of the mirror indicates the right position of the heated object 14 by its shade.
ICorrections to the sun or satellite car- be made by slid- Iing the eyelets 12 along the stakes of the tripod 11.
