Coating-compositions.-Wood, metal, cement, and other surfaces are coated with a composition comprising a phenol-formaldehyde resin, an acid-hardening agent, such as hydrochloric or sulphuric acid, and a filler such as talc. The resin may be liquid or in basic or alcoholic solution.
