The present invention relates to a thermal transfer recording medium capable of reducing peeling noise during transfer by a thermal head.

(Prior Art) In recent years, the thermal transfer type recording method using a thermal head has advantages such as low noise at the time of transfer, relatively inexpensive and compact device, and excellent maintainability. It is beginning to spread rapidly. However, in reality, the sound at the time of transfer is noisy, and improvement for that is desired.

For example, the color thermal transfer method is roughly divided into a method using a sublimation dye and a resin and a method using a wax, a pigment and a thermoplastic resin in the former method, in which only the dye is sublimated by heat from a thermal head. Since it is transferred from inside the resin, there is almost no transfer of the resin itself, so the peeling noise is essentially less, but the thermal energy is 2 to 3 times that of the latter method. A problem is the stick sound due to the so-called "stick phenomenon" where the head is fused.

On the other hand, in the latter method, the wax, the pigment, and the thermoplastic resin as the binder are all transferred to the transferred body by the heat from the thermal head, so that the peeling noise is apt to be generated essentially. However, also in the latter case, it is conventionally considered that the sound at the time of this transfer is mostly due to the stick sound, and various solutions for this have been proposed (JP-A-61-189992, JP-A-56-187396, Japanese Patent Publication 58-13359).

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, these proposals do not lead to reduction of the peeling noise itself in the latter method, and a solution thereof has been demanded.

An object of the present invention is to reduce the peeling sound generated by the latter transfer method, that is, the sound generated when the colored transfer layer is peeled off during transfer from the base material sheet of the thermal recording medium.

The colored transfer layer may be composed of only one layer as long as the adhesiveness to the transferred material and the releasability from the substrate sheet are sufficiently good by themselves. A two- or three-layer structure in which a heat-fusible release layer is provided on the lower surface of the material sheet side and a heat-fusible adhesive layer is provided on the opposite upper surface thereof may be used. The heat-fusible release layer and the heat-fusible adhesive layer may be formed from a mixture containing an amide or imide compound or wax and a thermoplastic resin. This amide or imide compound or wax has a melting point of 50-
It is preferable to select one having a temperature of 100 ° C.

1 and 2 schematically show the constitution of the heat-sensitive transfer recording material according to the present invention. In the case of FIG. 1, a dye or a pigment and a heat Easily peelable layer 3 in which the colored transfer layer 2 containing a plastic resin binder is made of polyvinyl octadecyl carbamate or polyethyleneimine octadecyl carbamate
FIG. 2 is similar to the case of FIG. 1 in that the colored transfer layer 2 is laminated on the upper surface of the base material sheet 1 via the easy peeling layer 3 as well. However, in this case, the colored transfer layer 2 itself has a three-layer structure, and the lower surface of the base material sheet 1 side is a heat-fusible release layer 2a made of an amide or imide compound or wax and a thermoplastic resin,
The upper surface is a heat-fusible adhesive layer 2c made of an amide or imide compound or wax and a thermoplastic resin, and a colored layer 2b made of a dye or pigment and a thermoplastic resin or its oligomer is interposed as an intermediate layer. There is.
