Description of the Related Art In gravure (intaglio) printing, a doctor blade is pressed against the circumferential surface of a plate cylinder with a constant pressure to scrape ink adhering to the non-image area of the plate cylinder. Dropped and removed. Since the doctor blade has the function of completely removing the ink in the non-image area and leaving a predetermined amount of ink in the image area, the contact between the plate cylinder and the doctor blade must always be maintained in a constant state. Of course, the tip end portion is required to have abrasion resistance.

This is done by adding an appropriate amount of fine powder of various ceramics such as silicon carbide and boron nitrite to an electroless nickel bath or electric nickel bath and performing plating treatment with stirring, and depositing these fine powder in the plating film simultaneously with plating. The hard layer is formed on the surface of the doctor blade by combining them and baking treatment if necessary.

The width of the blade itself is, for example, 45, 50 or 60 mm. In order to efficiently perform composite plating on such a blade, conventionally, a strip-shaped steel base material is wound into a roll shape via a spacer (net material, etc.) that does not affect the cutting edge. , Plated as it is,
Then, it is unwound in a plane and cut into a predetermined length to obtain a doctor blade (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-70343).

In addition, since the blade edge of the doctor blade is required to have a precise uniformity, before the product is shipped, the inspection to remove the ceramic fine powder deposits from the blade is performed and the blade edge is polished. -The polishing process must be performed as a process independent of the plating process, and it is required to further improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned problems in the ceraplating process of a doctor blade.
