【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、玉ねぎ、人参、大根、ニンニク、などの根菜類の収穫に利用する収穫機に関する。

【従来の技術】
上記収穫機の一例である玉ねぎ収穫機としては、例えば、特許公報第2759442号で示されたものが知られている。この玉ねぎ収穫機は、係止爪を前方側に向けて突出させた姿勢で地面近傍から後方斜め上方に向けて移動させて圃場にある根菜の葉茎を引き上げる縦回し型の葉茎引上げ装置と、この葉茎引上げ装置によって引き上げられた葉茎を、係止爪を横方に向けて突出した姿勢で後方斜め上方に向けて移動させて掻き上げる横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置と、この葉茎掻上げ装置によって掻き上げられた葉茎を挟持して後方斜め上方に向けて挟持搬送する挟持引上げ搬送装置とを備え、機体を根菜条にそって前進移動させることで、先ず、倒れ込んでいる葉茎を葉茎引上げ装置によって引き上げ、次いで、引き上げられた葉茎を左右の葉茎掻上げ装置で掻上げて挟持引上げ搬送装置の始端部に導き、この挟持引上げ搬送装置で葉茎を挟持して後方斜め上方に向けて搬送することで、根菜を圃場から抜き上げ、その後、葉切り処理、等を施して根菜本体を圃場面に放出してゆくよう構成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記した玉ねぎ収穫機においては、根菜の引き抜き、および、その後の処理を適確に行うために、挟持引上げ搬送装置で葉茎をもれなく挟持することが極めて重要であり、葉茎を縦回し型の葉茎引上げ装置で引き上げた後、横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置で掻き集めて挟持引上げ搬送装置の始端部に導くようにしている。ここで、葉茎掻上げ装置はその始端部において係止爪を横回し移動させるので、前後方向に倒れ込んでいる葉茎に対しては係止爪が係止しやすく、適確に掻上げ作用を発揮するが、横向きに倒れ込んでいる葉茎に対しては係止爪が係止作用しにくく、係止もれが発生しやすくなる。従って、縦回し型の葉茎引上げ装置で、横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置が葉茎を掻上げしやすい姿勢にしておくことが必要となる。

しかし、従来構造においては、一条の根菜に対して左右に配置された一対の縦回し型の葉茎引上げ装置が左右同等に機能するよう配置されていたために、特に、畝肩側の根菜条においては、外側に向けて大きく倒れ込んでいるような葉茎に対して引上げもれが発生することがあり、葉茎引上げ装置の係止爪による引上げからもれた葉茎、あるいは葉茎引上げ装置の係止爪による引上げが十分受けられなかった葉茎が、横向きに倒れ込んだまま横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置の始端部にまで到達してしまい、葉茎掻上げ装置の係止爪による掻上げ作用を十分に受けられないままで、一部の葉茎が挟持されることなく挟持引上げ搬送装置の下側に垂れた不十分な挟持状態で引き抜き作用を受けるような場合が発生していた。

本発明は、このような実情に着目してなされたものであって、葉茎が横外側方に大きく倒れ込んでいるような場合でも、葉茎を横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置によって確実に係止して掻上げ、十分な挟持状態で挟持引上げ搬送装置による引き抜きを行えるようにすることを目的としている。

〔請求項1に係る発明の構成、作用および効果〕

(構成) 請求項1に係る発明は、係止爪を前方側に向けて突出させた姿勢で地面近傍から後方斜め上方に向けて移動させて圃場にある根菜の葉茎を引き上げる縦回し型の葉茎引上げ装置を根菜条の左右両脇に位置させて配備し、この葉茎引上げ装置によって引き上げられた葉茎を係止爪を横方に向けて突出した姿勢で後方斜め上方に向けて移動させて掻き上げる横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置を前記葉茎引上げ装置の後方に配備し、この葉茎掻上げ装置によって掻き上げられた葉茎を挟持引上げ搬送装置で挟持して後方斜め上方に向けて挟持搬送するよう構成した根菜類収穫機であって、根菜条の横外側に複数の前記葉茎引上げ装置を左右に並列して配備するとともに、前記根菜条の横外側に並列して配備した前記複数の葉茎引上げ装置における係止爪作用軌跡の下端を根菜条の横外側に並列して配備した複数の前記葉茎引上げ装置以外の畝上に位置させる葉茎引上げ装置における係止爪作用 軌跡の下端よりも下方に位置させるとともに、根菜条の横外側において左右に並列して配備された複数の前記葉茎引上げ装置のうち、根菜条から遠い側の葉茎引上げ装置における係止爪作用軌跡の下端を、根菜条から近い側の葉茎引上げ装置における係止爪作用軌跡の下端よりも下方に位置させてあることを特徴とする。

(作用) 上記構成によると、マルチシートを掛けた畝で栽培された玉ねぎ等の根菜を収穫する場合に、先ず、シートめくり上げ用補助具が畝肩の裾近くに作用しながら前進することで、マルチシートの裾に被されていた土が崩されたり、除去されたりして、マルチシートの裾がめくり上げ容易な状態となる。引き続き土切り崩し体が、シートめくり上げ用補助具が通った畝肩の裾近くから根菜本体の下方にまで入り込んで前進し、根菜の植わっている付近の土を膨軟化する。この時、シートめくり上げ用補助具の通過によってマルチシートの裾はめくり上げが容易な状態となっているので、土切り崩し体がマルチシートを引掛けて引きずったり破ったりすることはなく、マルチシートの裾を無理なく押し上げてめくり上げてゆく。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を歩行型の玉ねぎ収穫機に適用した実施形態の一例を図面に基づいて説明する。図1の側面図、図2の平面図、および、図3の正面図に示すように、この玉ねぎ収穫機は、幅広の平畝上に栽培された4条の玉ねぎ(根菜)Wの内の進行方向右側2条を収穫するよう構成されたものであり、ループ状の操縦ハンドル1が備えられた3輪走行式の走行機体Aの前部に2条堀り仕様の収穫部Bが装備された構造となっている。

前記走行機体Aは、畝をまたぐ左右一対の駆動後輪2と右側の畝底を移動する一つの遊転前輪3が備えられており、機体後部に搭載したエンジン4からの動力がミッションケース5で変速された後、車軸ケース6よびチェーンケース7を介して左右の駆動後輪2に伝達されるようになっている。そして、畝幅に応じて後輪トレッドを変更できるように、左側の車軸ケース6を伸縮して左側の駆動後輪2を左右に位置変更できるよう構成されている。また、収穫部Bの対地高さを決めるゲージ輪として機能する遊転前輪3は、手元ハンドル8を回転操作することで上下調節可能に構成されている。

ここで、4本の葉茎引上げ装置10のそれぞれは同一仕様のものに構成されており以下のように駆動されている。つまり、図8の伝動系に示すように、ミッションケース5の前部に設けた作業用動力出力部24に、PT0クラッチ25を介して動力伝達が断続されるPTO軸26が横架され、このPTO軸26の左端から前方に向けて延出された前向き伝動軸27の前端に、葉茎引上げ装置駆動用の横向き伝動軸28が横架されている。そして、この横向き伝動軸28によって左側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(1),10(2)が駆動されるとともに、右側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(3),10(4)は、補助チェーン伝動装置29を介して後端駆動位置を順次ずらして駆動されている。そして、右側の玉ねぎ条の直右側に位置する葉茎引上げ装置10(3)は、左側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(1),10(2)よりも後傾斜され、ケース前端が左側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(1),10(2)のケース前端よりも前方下方に突出されている。また、最右側の葉茎引上げ装置10(4)は、その内側の葉茎引上げ装置10(3)よりも更に大きく後傾斜され、そのケース前端が内側の葉茎引上げ装置10(3)のケース前端よりも更に前方下方に突出されている。なお、各葉茎引上げ装置10の係止爪23は、弾性変形が容易な軟質の樹脂で成形されたものに構成されている。

以上のように構成された葉茎引上げ装置10は、図3に示すように、左側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(1),10(2)が畝の上で作用するのに対して、右側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(3),10(4)は畝肩および畝底部近くで作用することになる。

ここで、右側の玉ねぎ条の葉茎Wbが機体右外側(畝底側)に大きく倒れ込んでいると、最も前方に突出している最右側の葉茎引上げ装置10(4)が最初に葉茎Wbに作用する。この場合、葉茎引上げ装置10(4)の下端部では、係止爪23が下方から回り込んで前方に突出する際に葉茎Wbを前方に押し動かすように作用する。従って、葉茎引上げ装置10(4)の係止爪23に十分係止された葉茎Wbは引き上げられるが、係止が不十分でも葉茎Wbは前方に押しやられることになる。次いで、内側の葉茎引上げ装置10(3)が同様に作用し、係止爪23に十分係止された葉茎Wbは更に引き上げられるが、係止が不十分でも葉茎Wbは更に前方に押しやられることになり、両葉茎引上げ装置10(3),10(4)によって引き上げられない葉茎Wbは、2回の前方押しやり作用によって前向きに倒れた姿勢となる。

なお、右側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(3),10(4)のケース21は、その取付け角度を複数段に変更調節可能に構成され、畝の高さや葉茎Wbの倒れ具合、等に応じて係止爪作用軌跡の前端における前後位置や上下位置を調節して、好適な葉茎引上げを行うことができるようになっている。

横回し型の葉茎掻上げ装置11は、ケース31の上下に備えたプーリ間に巻回されて横回し駆動されるベルト32に多数の係止爪33を連設し、この係止爪33を横方側に向けて突出させた姿勢で地面近傍から後方斜め上方に向けて移動させて、玉ねぎWの葉茎Wbを掻き上げるよう構成されたものであり、左右一対のベルト32が、互いのの係止爪33が重複するように対向して配備され、葉茎引上げ装置10によって引き上げられた2条の玉ねぎWの葉茎Wbが、両ベルト32の始端部で左右から掻き集められた後、後方上方へへ掻き上げられるようになっている。

なお、図8に示すように、PTO軸26からウオーム減速機構36およびチェーン37を介して取出された動力で、挟持引上げ搬送装置12における左側の挟持ベルト34が駆動されるとともに、この左側の挟持ベルト34の前端から取出された動力で葉茎掻上げ装置11における左側のベルト32が駆動される。また、前記チェーン37の中間に連動連結した伝動軸38を介して取出された動力で、挟持引上げ搬送装置12における右側の挟持ベルト34が駆動されるとともに、この右側の挟持ベルト34の前端から取出された動力で葉茎掻上げ装置11における右側のベルト32が駆動されるようになっている。

図5および図7に示すように、土崩し装置13は、右側2本の葉茎引上げ装置10(3),10(4)の後方に配備されており、畝肩の裾近くから右2条の玉ねぎWの下方にまで入り込むよう正面視L字状に屈折されたの土切り崩し体41と、この土切り崩し体41の直前方位置の若干外側において畝肩の裾近くに突入するシートめくり上げ用補助具42とからなり、土切り崩し体41は機体フレーム9の前部に支点a周りに前後揺動可能に枢支されるとともに、その上方延出端と前記PTO軸26の右端に備えた偏心クランク部43とがロッド44で連動連結され、偏心クランク部43を介してロッド44が押し引き駆動されることで、土切り崩し体41が支点a周りに一定の小ストロークで前後に揺動駆動され、玉ねぎWの下方の土を崩して膨軟化することで、前記挟持引上げ搬送装置12によって葉茎Wbを挟持されて引上げられる玉ねぎWが無理なく抜き上げられるようになっている。

また、シートめくり上げ用補助具42も支点b周りに前後揺動可能に枢支されるとともに、連係ロッド45を介して土切り崩し体41に連動連結され、土切り崩し体41の前後揺動に同期して前後に揺動駆動されるようになっており、畝肩の裾部を切り崩しながら前進移動することで、後続の土切り崩し体41の土中への突入抵抗を軽減するとともに、畝に掛けられたマルチシートFの右側の裾を少し押し上げてめくり上げながら前進する。このように、シートめくり上げ用補助具42によってマルチシートFの右側の裾を自由にしてめくり上げが容易な状態にしておくことで、後続する土切り崩し体41によるマルチシートFのめくり上げが無理なく円滑に行われる。
