本発明は、ベニヤレースで使用するベニヤ単板切削用ナイフにおける刃先高さの調整用ボルトを固定する方法及びベニヤ単板切削用ナイフに関する。
更に詳しくは、ナイフセッティングゲージを用いて研磨済みナイフの刃先高さを設定する際に、ナイフの刃底に備えた調整用ボルトを回して行なう調整作業の簡便化を図るとともに、調整完了後のボルトの緩み、更には切削中に切削抵抗により刃先高さが狂うのを防止するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来の原木を切削するベニヤ単板切削用ナイフは、図12のようにナイフ10の刃底に調整用ボルト12が螺合され、その調整用ボルト12にはダブルナットのために補助ナット12aが螺合されている。つまり、研磨済みナイフ10の刃先高さを特定高さにするために調整用ボルト12を回して行なう調整作業の後、補助ナット12aを締付け、調整用ボルト12を固定していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

本発明の上記課題を解決するために、本発明の構成は、ベニヤ単板切削用ナイフ(10)の刃底に螺合した刃先高さ調整用ボルト(12)の固定方法であって、刃先を上方に向けた状態において前記調整用ボルト(12)による高さ調整完了後、前記調整用ボルト(12)の進み側フランク(12b)と前記刃底の調整ボルト挿入用ネジ孔(14)の下側フランク(10a)とを接触させた状態を維持しつつ、前記調整用ボルト(12)を調整ボルト固定用部材(20,21)によって固定するものである。なお、「上方」とは、ベニヤレースにナイフを装着時のナイフの長手方向と直交する方向に傾いた場合も含む。「進み側フランク」とは、ねじ込みの際、ボルトの進行方向に対面するねじ山の斜面をいい、「下側フランク」とは、刃先を上方に向けた状態において刃底の調整ボルト挿入用ネジ孔のねじ山の下側斜面をいう。

【実施例】
本発明に係るベニヤ単板切削用ナイフを図面に基いて説明する。
図1は、研磨済みナイフの刃先高さを設定するナイフセッティングゲージ1の正面図である。10はベニヤレースの鉋台にセットされるベニヤ単板切削用ナイフであって、刃先高さまでの長さLを、ナイフ10の刃底に螺合する調整用ボルト12で調整する。
図2は図1の側面図であって、ナイフ10の横幅方向に所定間隔をおいて複数の調整用ボルト12が螺合されている。

なお、締付けボルト16の回動により調整ボルト固定用部材21の一端が、調整用ボルト12に当接又は近接する位置からずれないために、実施例5では調整ボルト固定用部材21に締付けボルト16を遊嵌させ、実施例6では調整ボルト固定用部材21を締付けボルト16に固着又は回動自在に係着させているが、調整ボルト固定用部材を刃底に固着、接着又は係着するとともに、調整ボルト固定用部材の一端を、並設した締付けボルト16の頭部で直接に又はてこ部材を介して調整用ボルトの進み方向と直交する方向に変形させ、調整ボルト固定用部材の他端を調整用ボルトの外周に押圧・固定することができる。

そして、ベニヤ単板切削用ナイフにおいて調整ボルト固定用部材に間隔調整ボルトを設けているから、長い調整ボルトが刃底に対し直交せず切削中に高荷重がかかって曲がり刃先高さが変わることを防止できる。従って、ナイフ刃先が下がることにより発生する切削ベニヤ単板の切削面の荒れ、いわゆる肌荒現象が起きないので、品質の良い単板が得られる。特に、薄いベニヤ単板を切削する場合には有効である。
