近年、リモートコントロールの普及に伴い、防塵機能を備え接触不良を防止したスイッチ装置が発明されている(特公平3−50402号公報参照)。

以下に従来のスイッチ装置について説明する。
図4および図5に示すように、基板1と、基板1を覆うケース2と、ケース2上に配設した文字板3と、ケース2と嵌合して摺動するスライドスイッチ4で構成されている。

この目的を達成するために本発明のスイッチ装置は、スライドスイッチの操作方向の前方および後方の端面間の距離をホルダの方向からスライドつまみの方向に向けて狭くなるように平面視で略台形形状の底面をもつ構成、およびまたは両方の端面の形状を前記スライドスイッチの上面から下面に向けて広くなるようなエッジ形状の断面をもつ構成としたものである。
